It's beautiful how all the anger, the desolation, the overwhelming sadness and the feeling of emptiness and suffering that reigns over the main characters is represented in every sound of this song, I love it.

Hearing this song back in the reveal of cold war was a MAGICAL moment for gamer who know it

I was 15 when it came out, mom bought it for me on release, best purchase ever made, I still have the box and disc. This game got me through the hardest year of my life, I replay it once every year, I will never forget it. Amazing how many emotions it made me feel...

Regardless of what you may think, the Black Ops series will always have a special place in our hearts. This game was possibly the first title to have multiple endings depending on your choices in the previous campaign missions. (You could shoot Mason in the leg so Alex & David could meet each other again. You could do something to save Karma so she can keep Menendez imprisoned, should you spare him & prevent that Cordis Die video) This game, it was so fun. Had so many fun times, the Origins zombies map, fooling around with your buddies in multiplayer, maybe watching Vanoss & his crew having a good time in BO2 on youtube, & many other reasons I couldn’t list down. I may love all of the Black Ops games (yes including BO3 & BO4, say what you will about those titles), but Black Ops 2 for me & many other people, will remain as one of the best games in Call of Duty history.

This soundtrack honestly builds so much emotion with the events of “Suffer with me” & how it impacted on David all those years later when he’s confronted with is Father’s Murderer. Truly the only soundtrack that makes you understand and emphasize with Davi, Woods, and Menendez.

Christmas 2012, I remember unwrapping this and hearing it for the first time. Not realizing how many memories would be created from 2012 till 2016 when I sold my 360. Now it’s Christmas 2021. This game is somehow 9 years old. Time flies when you have fun.

This piece of music really hits me hard, its making me remember the good ol' days. Things were much simple back then.

I remember playing this on Christmas of 2012 when i was 5. Played it with my dad. Now I'm 16 and in highschool.

I miss this and the original Black Ops menu, putting you right there in the protagonist body before you even start the game, the atmosphere and music for both are definitely my favorites in the series as well.

This brings back memories that never wanted to go away.

Fun Fact: 1:28 in the video is the start of the Wii U Title Home Screen, That little soft and beautiful tune playing as new players at the time would start up BO II. I miss those days, stay safe & positive out there everyone! ~SL

This really hurts my feels for some reason.

I like the background design of the menu. I would love to experience the same feeling back in Black ops 1 when selecting the zombie mode. They could for ex. make the lights suddenly turning off and the people working, passing in the background disappearing. Leaving behind the damned soundtrack and threatning sounds.
