As a 5th grader, in 4th grade there was a code yellow because there was a man with a axe near our school so the cameras saw him and then announced code yellow then the principals went outside to tell him, he said that his job was cutting down trees,so thats why he had a axe and than everthing was clear.
Random woman: I should probably not get in the picture Speaker lady: (picks up phone) This is a code red lockdown drill, I repeat, code red lockdown drill
You should do a announcement for it, but not a “code red lockdown drill”, you do it without the “drill”. It really puts the students into thinking its real, then they take what they learned to action.
That wouldn't actually be a good idea, but I see what you are saying Reasons it could go wrong: 1. They may text their parents saying their possible last goodbye 2. They may contact police 3. A lot of the students could start panicking and run out of the school possibly breaking windows to get out
@@ghostieboy141 exactly, and that's not to mention that some students who may have special needs may even be terrified of going back to school again. I speak from personal experience.
Once or twice, a kid accidentally hit the button for a lock down and we were all so scared. It does definitely help to prepare for the real situation but some kids even started crying. We were in elementary at the time and younger kids shouldn’t have to go through that.
I know this is off topic, but my fire drill was “Attention, an emergency has been reported in the building, please seat operation and leave the building out the nearest exit or fire exit” and than it repeated (it was pre-recorded)
Our school has this BOOP BOOP BOOP BEEEEP Attention all staff and students a emergency has been reported in the building. All staff and students a lockdown has been triggered. Please report to your degsinated spot and lock all doors and windows.
