Exploring an ancient woodland. ‘Bushcraft’ coffee on the Firebox stove, then down to a beautiful sandy estuary for lunch. Signs of spring everywhere and trying an old favourite for lunch.
That was fantastic Elliott I enjoyed that. It looked nice and chilled what a stunning area. Larch is a favourite of mine I think it makes one of the best tinders ideal for getting a fire going. It's crazy how although it's part of the conifer family it sheds come wintertime. Thanks for sharing buddy. 👍👍
Cheers Garry, very much appreciated mate. Yeah love a bit of larch and certainly appreciate how much easier it is to get a fire going in the depths of a wet winter with it or any pine, especially round here in Devon. And yes the way it loses its needles in winter is quite unique. I've seen people mistake it as dead standing because of that.
Cool video Elliott. Really chilled and such a beautiful part of the country. Nice to see an old school bergen too. New sub buddy. Keep em coming. Cheers, J 👍
thanks J, much appreciated. Yeah that old bergen is a bit of an antique now, but its still pretty solid and I like using it. Thanks for watching my friend.
