Stephanie's baking channel is not to show off her skills but to sincerely teach you how to bake it like she does. Isn't that the reason why we are here for? She is a true professional baker who imparts her skills.
I made this cake last week with some adjustments. I roasted my walnuts before adding to the batter and since our Mascarpone comes in 250 g packs I adjusted the other ingredients accordingly. So I had sufficient cream to cover the top and the sides and for decoration. It was such a beautiful delicious cake. My whole family loved it and I added this recipe to my all time favorite cake recipes (which seldom happens :-) ). Thanks for sharing!
I made this cake 4 years ago for my husband’s birthday and since then it has become a family favourite. My son (4 at the time) and my niece (12 at the time) tell everyone coffee cake is their favourite kind of cake when what they really mean is that this particular coffee cake is their favourite kind of cake! A winner every time! Thank you!
Hello Stephanie 💜 I haven't watched you on YT in quite a while, but when I logged on today I saw your new video (one of my favorite cakes), and wanted to tell you something. I used to watch your videos during mealtimes while I was recovering from my eating disorder, because your way of handling food and your passion for being in the kitchen was so comforting for me. The videos just made me feel safer to accept food back into my life. Without even knowing it, your RU-vid presence helped me through so many horrendous moments. Thank you for helping me in a way that you probably didn't ever expect your channel could benefit a person...! These days I enjoy cake (and everything else) with joy, too. 🌸
Shame Stephanie did not reply to your message... Never mind, she must be "too busy" to read what her viewers say - this is typical of youtubers once they grow their channel. I read your message and thought you are a very courageous person, well done! Hope you are still keeping well. Regards. x
My gosh!!! This is the best coffee cake recipe I could ever find!!! I love it!! I'm gonna make this cake over and over and over, this is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe with us!!
This cake turned out so well. Even the icing was super yummy. Wonder why I hadn't tried this before. This is definitely a keeper. The coffee flavour stands out so well. Thanks Stephanie!
This is fantastic Stephanie! I made this last night. The icing curdled but I did it again and it was great. I also appreciate you converting the ingredients into grams and millilitres for us British folk. I will be trying your other recipes 👍🏽
I wonder how i missed this vedio all that time !! Every ingredient in this cake is calling me . And who needs a ceremony to bake this cake ?? It’s a ceremony by itself.
Hi Stephanie, I am Bala, Australian Indian living in Brisbane. I am not good in Baking but I tried exactly your coffee cake recepie for this Christmas and my family Love it.. I am really happy and confident that I can bake cakes as well 😀😀 Thank you so much 👍
Who in the world hit the thumbs down?! All of her videos are so detailed, and the ones that I've tried have turned out great. You really can't please some people. 😐
Have to say that your recipes do always work super well. Your batter ingredients and way to make the mixing never fails. Also the creams and toppings and icings and fillings. Everything! Let alone the well constructed and organized that your website is. Thanks for sharing your precious knowledge and years of work. God bless you always.
Every time I watch another one of your videos, I'm always sure that is the cake I want to make... Until I watch another one, and then change my mind, and then another one haha - they all look delicious!
O wow, we are a coffee loving family, so I am so going to make this cake for Christmas! Thank you for sharing your art in such a way we love to come back and learn more of your recipes :D Blessings and love from The Netherlands/Holland, Diana
besides the coconut cake, i made this for the same party. I couldn't taste any because of health reasons, but everyone gave it a thumbs up!! Thank you.
Your channel is addictive - sat through several hours last night, getting hungrier with each one. With the exception of Gavin Webber's cheese making ones, yours are the best foodie vids xx
This is the best Recipes Channel ever. I've made tons of her recipes, and they NEVER EVER failed. This woman is like the Queen of Cake. God Bless Stephanie
Hey stephanie i want to make dis cake for my husband's birthday...he is grt fan of coffee cakes....but does not really like cheese icing ... can u suggest me another option for frosting on same cake
Hi Stephanie just wanted to let you know that I've made your coffee & walnut cake, well I must say it's amazing & I love it. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. The only thing I did differently was put more icing sugar in the frosting. Otherwise the cake is really beautiful & soft. This is a great cake to have when I have my girls friends over for morning tea. Thank you. Cheers from Melbourne Australia 🤗😀
Hi Stephanie, this recipe turned out so yummy. I loved the cream cheese frosting so much. Wonder how I hadn't tried this recipe before as we are all coffee lovers at home. The coffee flavour stands out so well. Loved it, thanks for the recipe.
i baked this yesterday for my moms birthday and left it in the fridge overnight i tried eating a slice and wow the cake is still soft and.moist.. delicious cake. i love the combination of coffee and walnut.. thanks for sharing the recipe 👌
Stephanie you are the best! I've watched just about every video you've ever made. Everything you make looks so delicious and you make it look so easy to do. I will definitely try this one! Thanks again for sharing all of your wonderful recipes!
Stephanie, thanks for your lovely recipes which always work! Really appreciate that you put things in grams as our measuring cups are different from yours. Keep these videos coming. They are better than a cookbook!
I just made this, this evening. Turned out fantastically. Reminded me of the coffee sponge cake my mum would make. I also appreciate an American baker who’s not afraid of metric. Only thing was there didn’t appear to be enough frosting. I had to end up doubling the recipe. However it was fabulous. Can’t wait to try out more of your recipes.
My favorite kinda cake, in one of my favorite channel and baker 💗 I like that you give advice of substitutes and metric equivalents. I don’t have to Google Thank you 🙏
When I was a boy, a lovely lady down the street where I'd ride my bicycle would talk to me. She eventually started tutoring me and she was an incredible baker. I'll never forget her coffee and walnut cake. I thought of her, searched this and it looks just like hers. She's long gone now, but I think back in those days everyone knew how to cook and bake. Definitely a dying tradition.
Very pretty looking cake with natural colour combination! 👌 Me and my husband like this flavours a lot so definitely deserves a place on my list of baking in near future.
Hi stephanie..thankslot for this wonderfùl recipe...i baked dis cake...it just melts in the mouth..i have never baked a cake tastier and softer than dis in my life....its just perfect even widout frosting... i wish i cud show u picture.
Brilliant demonstration! Just a note that you should not put boiling water on to coffee. It turns bitter. The optimum temperature for coffee is about 92 degrees centigrade. But always pour boiling water on tea. Learn something new every day!
I love watching you and have made several things that you make, today I made the coffee and walnut cake I followed it to the letter and the cakes are lovley and light. I used the 8 inch tins ( they came out lop sided because I have had a new kitchen now the cooker must be uneven) The only thing I would say is there wasn't enough frosting to pipe the swirls and there was only enough for a thin layer in the middle and on top so when I make it again I will make double the amount. My husband and I have just had a big slice and I wall definitly be making it again but next is the New York Cheese cake. mmmm
Hi, Stephanie. Your coffee cake looks simply gorgeous and elegant. You have a talent baking beautiful desserts. Thank you so much for inspiring me to become a baker, Stephanie.
Another hit cake Joy! Watching your videos have given me the confidence to do more baking at home. Going to get a good mixer and baking tools to start making cakes, pies and other deserts at home. This is much better for health reasons!!! Plus home made baking done right always tastes better. This Coffee Walnut Cake looks fabulous!!!
Thank you so much for this amazing recipe. I made it today and it turned out exactly as shown in the video... She is a pro... Amazing measurements amazing demonstration and suggestions... Thanks a lot once again ♥️🌹
I love how you enjoy what you are doing🤗 .... even it's the million time to do it... My name is Demyana... I live in Egypt 😇💌 I always bake your recipes 🤗 my family love them... My mother knows you well... I did now for my mother's birthday 🍰🥰 her birthday is tomorrow
Lovely cake recipe. I did not want coffee flavour so I replaced the 1 tablespoon hot water with 1 tablespoon milk. Even without frosting the cake tasted amazing. Thank you. xx
Hi Stephanie! Making this right now. I've waiting for a coffee flavored cake from you for a while now because it's one of my favorites. Just waiting for the cakes to cool and I'll be frosting soon! :) Thanks so much
I made this cake tonight. I didn't bake them right and they didn't bake in the middle. One layer was more under baked than the other. No problem!!! I just got my cookie cutter out and cut the middle out of the least baked layer and put it on top. And I had to use cream cheese in the frosting. Even with the mistakes, it is a delicious cake. I will keep baking this one til I get it right :)
This is a pretty cake and I do love coffee. I've looked at my local Kroger for the cheese but did not see it with the cream cheese. I will try the deli my next trip. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Tried it yesterday! HAPPPY memories of life in the UK....My only mistake was using one deep pan and hoping to cut the cake into two. My oven is not big enough for two cake pans. But cooking all the batter together, of course, made the cooking time longer and the resulting cake was a little dry. I'm going to invest in two smaller pans.
Hello Stephany! I made this cake skiping the coffee and it turned out great. Yeah. Thanks for your competente and friendly presentation. Just to repeat Shelby Phelps and Sofia Diogo, keep up the amazing work and easy to understand English. You don't swallow the words. Greetings and best wishes for the holliday season. I came back to remind you that 180 Celsius is like 350 Farenheit. Thanks for saying the measures in grams.
Hi Stephanie, this is one of my favourite cakes & I've been waiting for you to make this cake, I love it. In a few months from now I have a dear friends birthday coming up & her favourite cake is coffee cake & I'm in charge of making the cake & I'm going to make your recipe. Actually, I really can't wait until my friends birthday so I'm going to make this cake this weekend. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. Let you know how it turns out. Thanks Stephanie. God bless you. Greetings from Melbourne Australia 🤗😀
Solid recipe, thank you so much! The cake isn't too sweet either. I added double the amount of coffee in both the cake and icing for more coffee flavour. Everyone liked it. :)
