I've veen struggling with severe OCD episodes this year. Watching this helps me realize a thought can't make something happen. Thank you so much. Really these videos help me see my faulty thinking errors
It is very complex and she's out of her mind. Knows nothing about it. Don't listen to idiots if you have questions. Read Albert Einstein and other genius minds on subjects of Physics. Not as complicated as YOU may think.
Thanks for watching! I'm glad it was helpful. I've taken a break from making videos for the summer since I am moving 4 times in 3 months, but I've got an instagram going now as well @ocdillustrated and post there every other day or so with my exposures and such.
Sorry I wanted to write more. I've suffered from OCD since a child I never understood what or why I was the way I was lol. I never really got the right help I'm still searching for a therapist to help me understand my thoughts I suffer from cognitive fusion where I think so deeply into whatever it may be mostly health related then I think so much about it then symptoms appear then panic sets in then I think it's real. It's just such a terrifying battle to go through every day. Then I get so down because i don't understand why I have to think this way it just hurts.
I personally don't experience anxiety about my physical health most of the time, but I can see how torturous that would be. Remember that OCD often latches onto the things we value- thats why the thoughts feel so scary. I hope you find a therapist who understands OCD and can help you do CBT and ERP. Its not your fault you're feeling this way now, but there are steps you can take to not think/feel like this forever
Ok thank you very much! I will check out the link. If I could find a therapist over Skype or occasional phone calls even. I have a beautiful 3 year old boy who is autistic so it's very difficult for me to get out of the house to see someone I don't have anybody to watch him. But I will check out those options. I was thinking of finding a work book.
check out this link iocdf.org/about-ocd/treatment/how-to-find-the-right-therapist/ and some of the other pages like the resource directory and book list that are hyperlinked. If you can't find a therapist who knows ERP, consider getting a high quality workbook or app to guide your therapy. You can either do it on your own or get a general therapist who is willing to help you with using a workbook/app. I also know some people can get coaching or teletherapy through skype etc.
