@@boostedfiveoh I am having CEL's on my 2014 Silverado after installing K&N 77 cold air intake, I've checked all the connections, disconnected the battery and reconnected it. I've lost cruise control for some reason and still getting CEL after deleting it. The computer is not wanting to adjust to the higher airflow for some reason. The only thing I can do now is wait for the diablo tuner I bought to get in. The CAI just through a gremlin in the truck for some reason and I was certain you were experiencing something similar.
@@ricksters11 no mine worked as it should after fixing the pin in the connector. You should be able to install and run it without a check engine light. You could possibly try putting the stock intake back on and see if the problem goes away. Thats what I was going to do on mine then noticed the prong was bent when I disconnected it.
I ordered same intake. I have a 19 z71 legacy, 18 body. I went with diablosport i3 8246. And got a custom tune from Lewis (diablew tuning). Night and day difference. Just.changed out the mbrp 409 xl kit for the carven r muffler. Ill get a data log and revised tune and see how it does. Whats.the plan next for your truck?
I really like the intake! Great quality! I still need to get a tuner for my truck. I just have a flow master one chamber muffler. How to you like the mbrp muffler? I would like to do some more upgrades soon. I would love put a whipple on it! That would be my goal. Maybe some headers too
@@boostedfiveoh ya, Whipple would be wicked but here in 🇨🇦, its over $8000, then there is tq converter and what not to upgrade, cam, springs, etc lol. But safely you can just bolt it on and be on 7 to 10 lbs of boost and probably be fine. The mbrp was ok, great deep tone. But just wanted louder. I did a video on the new carven r muffler, welding the peaces together. I love the sound. It is loud when on it, deep tone. Not really any drone at hwy speed. For the new intake coming. I also order some intake heat reflecting tape. That intake tube will probably get hot, rising intake temps, defeating the purpose of cold air lol. I like the use of the bottom half of the stock airbox. I will rap the inside of that also with heat barrier strips. And open up the bottom of the stock box for more air. Then get a.data log, and ill review the intake temps. Fun testing these things 👍. Sorry for the long reply, didn't realize it. Love talking about vechicles
@@02mp9696 I just saw one for $6500 the other day. A lil bit cheaper over here. I would probably just run low under 10 lbs for now to be safe. Then slowly do the other upgrades.
@@boostedfiveohthey are direct bolt on, so it be fine as is without the rest. I always piss around with bolt ons and tunes. It adds up, vs just saving and going big lol.
Leave your factory equipment on your car bro. You don’t need a cooler intake It might look cool but you have a lot of problems in the long run Your motor is going to run terrible
