With temperatures hovering just below 0 degrees, this autorack train had problems all night at Cicero trying to get the air brakes to function properly. It finally departed, but suffered more trouble shortly after this video was taken and eventually had to stop because they could not maintain pressure in the brake line. But, thankfully, things were going OK when I stopped by the La Grange Road train station to catch the train blasting uphill out of town. The frigid weather caused my hands to go numb, but it also meant the town was in complete silence until the throbbing of GEs on both ends of the train disturbed the scene. Skip to 2:45 to hear the DPU chugging away into the night.
