I always try to think that this episode ends like the movie Titanic...that when Jimmy dies, he and Coop get to spend eternity together in the afterlife after being robbed of a life together. That makes it slightly less depressing in my mind.

Such a shame this show will never be on DVDs... And frankly, if doing it means changing the wonderful soundtrack, I'd rather wait for the reruns.

i'm happy to see i'm not the only one who LOVE this 1. one of my favorite with the 2.22 "Best Friends" : "I came up from the dark without you, and every day has been in shadow. I have begged the tide to wash away my sin, and take me to you... in the dark. but every day, I surface again. but in the spring, I'm betrayed by the new earth. with you in my heart, then i'm borne again a green bud. I am borne again... blooming." The 5.15 was really beautiful to. And for once, Lilly's team isn't to late.

He still had his kids, who were clearly more important than anyone else to him (as it should be when you are a parent in my opinion), but yes, he never got over the loss of Coop💔.

Love this episode but it kills me Jimmy ended up alone in the end. He got no happy ending. I wanted a scene where Coop's father faced him and spoke to the man his son loved.

I loved this series. It reminds me of an English TV Series called Waking The Dead. Waking the Dead was two hours each week. Imagine if Cold Case was two hours each episode instead of one.

@revolutionhk But he did confess. That's why cops always prefer a confession. Physical evidence can be lost or contaminated, eyewitness accounts are notoriously unreliable, especially as time passes, but a confession never goes away.

How is his father still alive, if cooper was in his 30s when he was killed in 1960, his dad had to be in his 50s or 60s when he died so that would mean he's in his 80s or 90s right now

Coop was in his early 20's at the time (1968). So his father was in his mid to late 40's; and would be in his late 70's at the time the case was re-opened.
