@@SaeedReacts. "(Baby I've Got You) On My Mind" is a fantastic song of theirs. These guys were soo good! I was gutted when they retired. (An emotional farewell performance is on youtube too: "These Days (Final Live Performance)")

"You Got Nothing I Want." I believe was written about US music execs who were wooing Cold Chisel, but wanted a nice sanitised version of them.

I saw them on the great divide tour with silverchair but couldn't get tickets to the Farwell tour. One of aussies best bands. The music scene isn't the same without them

So refreshing to see you react to on of their many other songs, instead of the usual version of wild thing, bow river, Khe Sahn, etc. There's so many excellent songs like this one that usually don't get a look in. Congrats to the requester for this suggestion.

@@SaeedReacts. Yes, they're great songs and performances, but so often, nobody goes further. Their first self titled album is still my most favourite, although they're all good, and I would definitely recommend one long day, mostly sung by guitarist Ian Moss and written by keyboard player Don Walker, who happens to be one of Australia's best song writers ever. I would also recommend their next 2 albums East and Breakfast at sweethearts, so good, it's hard to choose just one song.

Glad you have discovered an aussie national treasure - Cold bloody Chisel. Saw them 3 or 4 times. 100% energy every time. They're in my aussie bloody heart mate. Also check out Midnight Oil, another stellar performer live.

Can't believe this was 40 years ago the Guy on the piano is Don Walker, who wrote most of CC's music guitarist is Ian Moss and the lead off course is Jimmy Barnes , drums Steve Prestwich RIP, Last Stand Concerts of 1983 when Cold Chisel Broke up , they returned 15 years later in 1998. The very last one was December 15 1983 Sydney Entertainment Centre A must-see Jimmy Barnes thought he was about to die in late 2023 the whole story ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-An-mkUmjCnY.htmlsi=hLg8KOzMzvZr2RVX

Thanks Saeed. I used to own the "Last Stand" video which was a documentary film about the band and their final concert series, called The Last Stand, as the band had decided to call it quits, back in 1983. Jimmy went solo for all of the late 80s and 90s but the band reformed in the 2000s and they put out several albums. I grew up loving Jimmy Barnes but i missed seeing Cold Chisel live because i grew up in Papua New Guinea and didn't return to Australia until the Christmas of 1983. I eventually got to see them live in the 2000s when they reformed and it still is one of the best concerts i've experienced. Please also check out their song "Janelle" from this same concert. Its a ballad.

Think about that title - "Standing On The Outside". How about "You Got nothing I Want"? What about a punch in the gut from "Houndog"? Chisel were in and of the time of punk. Chisel were punks, Australia's punks, and they would act like punks if you told them. Their legacy lives long and throughout Australia's cultural reference points, for many generations since and many to come. They are rock legends and their time in Rock's pantheon is only now just arriving, mate.
