wow i am like 8 months into the knife-world and seen alot of your newer videos... Now because someone asked me about this knife i watched this review and found this funny. 😂 You guys came along way be proud. Love from switzerland
Oh crap! I didnt realize this was a Demko! I have had this knife for several years and just this week got a damascus solstice! Despite being a totally different knife design-wise, both are by the same guy!
OMG!! THIS IS MY FAVORITE VIDEO FROM YOU GUYS!!❤❤❤❤ whoever edited this with the almost seamless footage of the knife use is great!!! You guys are going to be huge soon!❤❤❤❤
I (Kara) edited it so thanks so much that means a lot 😊😊 i would love to edit all of them like this, but unfortunately my day job has me wiped out most days! I definitely want to do a lot more like this. We have a couple more I edited that I posted maybe a week ago or so!
A lot of my knives I slow roll open myself. The scandi is a great grind for working with wood. They carve great, and you can shave lightly for fine work, or they can dig deep and hog off large amounts of wood quickly. Great woods knives. I've never gotten a Cold Steel that wasn't sharp as hell out of the box. I love my I don't have Finn Wolf, but I should because I do love my time in the woods, and I do carry a large fixed blade and use my folder for finer work, and more often than not, that folder is a Cold Steel.
Yeah I think any of the hard use cold steels would be a good knife next to your fixed blade and this one is definitely a good side piece for outdoors, it cuts really good with most things ive noticed it really makes me wonder why theres not more scandi grinds. But this is a tough knife forsure and one you dont have to worry about abusing.
Its a really tough knife!! This is a real hard use knife, that term gets thrown around but this is the real deal. We cant wait to try cold steels more premium knives they gotta be awsome.
I like mine so much i baught 2. 1 is my edc its prooven to me to be able to handle every day tasks and the other one is in my bugout bag. Makes a great backup for a fixed blade thats to big for some tasks.
You guys got it Scandi grind is short for Scandinavian grind. All Moras are scandi grind, viking knives were scandi grind or Seax which is basicly a wharneclif. My great grandfather came to US 🇺🇸 from Norway in the 1900s (like before 1910) so I've been schooled in the way of the viking by my father, and grandfather
Thats awsome!! And thank you for the knowledge, I know we should know most things when doing a review but we dont think its a bad thing to admit you dont know something and ask the community for a little help, sometimes its hard to find the correct info to. 🇳🇴 Norway hu, thats cool ive got a bunch of things in my line mostly Irish and German but theres a bunch of other stuff to. Kara is all Native American, but funny story, my sister did the 23 and me dna test, woundup finding out we have a sister from my dads side, that we never new about 😆, and met her. And a first cousin, buncha hound dogs!! 😆
@@NeevesKnives I like how real you guys are, and nobody knows everything. Yea I got a mix of blood/nationalities but mainly Norwegian, and Spanish. Keep it up you guys are gonna hit 1,000 subs before you know it!!
Finn Wolf is a great blade. Not quite as beatable as most Cold Steels in my experience because I did get some blade play from my testing but folders really aren't made to do what I do to them so I can't hold it against the knife lol
That’s interesting to know, we’re giving this one away so we couldn’t go to town on it as much as we would have liked. From what we did get to do it felt like a beast. But it’s good to know there is a possibility of it weakening in the manner of blade play
It’s really amazing, especially if you are someone who does a lot of harder usage with their knives!! That’s when I truly fell in love with it is when I starting whacking down sticks with it lol
My Tremor has a similar stud I machined, reminds of a hive for some reason. I don't want to like this knife. I do want a Puukko in my collection. interesting vid edit. wish me luck getting sum'n done today been wanting to take photos for weeks now... nyte sweethearts xoxox
David Donald HA! 😂 that’s funny... especially cause it’s so true. I didn’t even feel the cut happen cause it was soooo sharp it just split my skin a tiny bit
