I don’t want to get into an argument about which is best Tilley or Coleman but I will throw in my 10p worth of experience. I have a lot of Tilleys and bialaddin, mostly will need a service replacing seals etc. before use. I do love my Tilleys & bialaddin’s . I have one Coleman 639 from 1973. When I bought it it was already full of fuel…..probably from 1973/74. It’s in mint condition and possibly only fired up once before going by the cleanliness of the hood. I put a mantle on it and fired it up no problem. There appears to be less rubber seals on the Coleman which is a good thing as less to go wrong. It also is rated at 500cp and gives off a significant amount of heat. I have it lit now and it’s taking the autumn chill off my living room. But whatever lantern you use…keep em lit.
EngineVids you say that but I’ve never bought a Tilley that hasn’t required new parts or servicing. All these Coleman’s have just needed fuel and a mantle lol can’t knock them
Great video!!! If you have any Coleman lanterns that burn Coleman fuel, how does the brightness and smell compare between the two? Does this lantern have a case Coleman makes to fit it?
