I posted a Coleman 335 Kerosene Conversion on a forum and figured I make a Video of it working.
Parts I used in this conversion is listed below.
1) Coleman 335 Lantern thats already working well with no issues. If you can already smell the lantern burning camp fuel Kerosene will be 10 times worst. Keep that in mind. Thus one was a good one as it had no smell while using Coleman Fuel b
2) Coleman 339 generator (OldColmanParts.com)
3) 339/639 Preheater cup (OldColemanParts.com)
4) K-1 Clear Kerosene
5) denatured alcohol
6) matches
7) 24-a Peerless Mantle (oldcolemanparts.com)

That is the best way to do it, most people are in too much of a hurry to get it going, the way you are doing it is good as it is vapourising the fuel in the tank first before pressurising the tank, nice video Terry, take care

CharlieTango 1 Thanks for commenting on my video. I agree. If you take your time it works out great. Hard to rush these and rushing usually ends in a Flare up and black mess. Take care my friend!

I’ve converted a 200A to a 201. It works great as well. I got my first 335 recently. Still deciding if I’ll convert it. Nice job.

FarmingCorolla Its pretty fun messing around with lanterns. I got quite a few 335's and 321's myself. Might try a 321 conversion someday. Thanks for watching

I want to do this with my 76 335, is it simply a matter of using a 339 generator w/pre heat cup, or do you need to add a straight pipe into the fount too?

I just got a 335 green, I want to convert it to kerosene, now does the 339 generator come with the burner cap or will I need to buy that separate?

How do you manage to get the mantle formed that way? All my 335's and 200/200A's are mounted with Peerless 24G's but I just can't have that nice long shape your kero 335 has.

Apinka Pike I use peerless 24-a mantles. I tie it on and make sure the mantle is evenly distributed around the burner cap as best I can. Then I light the mantle with a match or lighter and let us burn off until it's almost all white. Around the burner will still be blackish but after a good run it will turn white. After the burn in I light the lantern but I start at a low pressure and build the pressure up from there. I never had issues with the shape of it ever since doing it this way. I should do a video someday of how I burn in a mantle. Thanks for watching.
