Bro you're literally the MVP for sharing this , wish I found it sooner man, I been messing with mine for about a week now and only got 2 hours ride time on it cause 33 mph ain't enough for my crazy ass
I think I'm going with the straight chain! I don't do much if any off road riding, but dealing with City driving...... Speed is needed more than torque 🤷🏾♂️ 💯
ay bro when u were tightening the chain what were u doing to the back where the sprocket is at? Imma do this to my minibike and need to know if i need to do that too
Converted my ct200 to a single chain.. with the 10 tooth clutch. What sprocket count do I need?? The 38 from Jack shaft set up is all bad..was Gunna try original 52 I think
The Original CT200U STOCK REAR SPROKET IS 50 TOOTH IF YOUR RUNNING THE STOCK ENGINE WITH GOV DELETE OR BYPASS U SHOULD GET AROUND 4K-6KRPM WITCH is 30-37MPH 5.00 Gear Ratio ✔️. Check Here for your gearing Just play Around with the sproket setting to Figure your Speed Adjustment ⚙️ Ratio ..www.bmikarts.com/Go-Kart-Gear-Ratio-Speed-Calculator
good vid bro i have a 80cc motovox with the gov removed on a 11tooth clutch and 74 rear im getting 40 mph what would i get if i put a 10tooth do i need to change the rear sprocket
Thanks Mane. What I Usually Do Is Change my Clutch to 17tooth but in your case Maybe Try a Smaller Tire in the Rear the Get more Rotation to the gearing you have.
@@jjsstreettv5295 17 oh dam i thought the highest was 15 and the lowest i can find on rear sprocks for my motovox is a 60tooth with the 6 holes but im thinking of getting pocket bike wheels or the 10inch modular ones with the holes in em to run better tires so mad i ordered a 6inch mag wheel from gopowersports brah the quality on there stock tires suck
Ay man appreciate the tutorial. I went ahead and did this, but the bolt to the driveshaft and clutch keeps wanting to rotate and slide off quickly while riding since I've flipped the clutch. Have you run into this or have any recommendations?
So I just tried to crank the bolt as you did in your ct200u-ex video, though I find when the bolt is down tight, the clutch seizes, when i loosen it up enough to where the clutch works freely, the bolt holding the clutch wants to fall out. Please Help!
@@joshberlin3074 I'm not an expert but have you thought about using thread locker. It might help, but you will need an impact to get the bolt off after.
What's the best drive and driven sprocket combination so I can solve the over slack in the rear chain to my Coleman ct200uex ? I'm finding out that this causes bearing problems to the driver bearing. Thanks. Great video.
Well if You want more Top End With Out Stressing a Clutch to Much And Don't Spend To much Money. Go 2 Rear 10 Tooth Jack Shaft Sprockets. To clutch Using The Stock Jack Shaft setup...I Got good Results From that gearing.
Not only you have too take the tourqe converter off too get more speed but when you have a mini bike you can basically make it go as fast as you want it too and once you’ve token the tourqe converter off and have straight chained it you can also take out the governor and take about a few pieces and take out a couple more pieces and then that should make it about maybe 70 or 80 mph fast
The only benefit is higher road speed. The cons are that you lose all low end. The bike wouldn't work well at all for slow speed off road riding. If riding off road it would struggle and not be able to climb hills that were easily climbed with the jackshaft. The clutch to rear sprocket is hard on the engine and clutch. If you were running the stock engine on the road and started up a long steep hill it would drop all the speed you had.
@@Deucealive75 interesting .. I think I prefer the torque over the slightly higher speed .. we do off road out here … so would torque converter keep torque and add speed ?
@@sgjesse13 Absolutely. With a torque converter you get nice bottom end and the extra top speed. And I would highly recommend a 60 tooth sprocket to go along with the torque converter. That gearing just works better all around than with the 50 tooth.
The top speed for a straight chain on it is like 33, but with the governor swing arm ziptied or taken out it can go up to 39 or 40, and you can still trailride but it would be a little slower pulling out where it has less torque
And the way how I know is because I have a Coleman bt200x 196 cc mini bike and mine was about 50 or 60 mph fast but then it blowed up so I had too get another motor which is the predator 212cc 6.5 horsepower motor and right now it’s about 50 or 55 mph but it doesn’t feel like it do so too make really actually fast I’m gonna get my brother in law too take out the governor take out a few pieces take out a couple parts and that should make it about 60 or 8 NO matter a fact it should make it about 70 or 80 mph fast
So this Destroyed my acceleration it barely goes but the top speed is like 50 so guess ima order a 60t rear to get my torque back just wondering if I should go even higher than that to return to normal ratio without a jackshaft.
@@angelpatterson8214 yeah so I actually reinstalled my jackshaft because I just love offroad riding, and ordered the 60t rear (stock is 50) and I bought a new chain to accommodate the bigger sprocket I bought a 110 link 420 rk chain for 12$ I had to break it using a punch and hammer and I set it on a small bolt this trick I learned on youtube no special tools. Now with the 60t rear the thing is a monster accelerator. Its down to maybe 23 top speed but man it gets there FAST. like I've owned a kx125 2 stroke motocross bike and when I say the 60t made it accelerate faster I mean it. Looking back, the only mods you need for offroad is exhaust, 18# valve springs, 60t rear and the governor removed. Oh hey, the advanced timing key is a Cheap part and it works with a stock flywheel 3$ upgrade.. and I still really want the ebc grooved brake pads on amazon for 18$. The 60t rear was 35$ and the longer chain was 13$
Only advise straight chain for on road use only like top speed stuff. Jackshaft for offroad use. But if you ever feel like going 40+ mph the straight chain is the easiest way
