Collecting Big Shark Teeth 

The chronicles of Sloth Party continue and the megalodon tooth count rolls on! It was a week night so by the time we got to the pit it was nearly dark so we had to hunt using our lights again. We both prefer hunting during the day but when it comes to choosing to collect by flash light or not collecting big shark teeth at all, we choose the lights. The spot was mostly drained and there was new digging, so the collecting grounds were prime for all sorts of action. We surface hunted first to find the stuff freshly exposed by the receding water but there wasn't much of that. Next we used our shovels to dig for megalodon teeth and that's how we usually have the most luck. But we are digging in wet sand so almost as soon as we dig out the big shark teeth, they are swallowed up by the sand so we had to grab them quickly or risk losing them to the sludge. Only the big shark teeth are exposed long enough for video, so the ground shots are tough to take but we did our best! Once we got sore from digging, we moved over to the area still underwater and started fishing around in the rock layer with our fingers. Like we were scuba diving in zero visibility southeastern rivers rivers or noodling for catfish. I was successful!
