many years ago when i was young man wfmu radio was a free form underground source of music.i spent many a day in the late 60's listening to their eclectic play list.sometimes when they played some unique music i would quickly hit the record button on my tape/radio player lol.Being a progger in the making naturally the what love suite was immediately recorded, unfortunately the dj never gave the name of the artist. As time passed of course those old tapes were lost and forgotten but i never forgot this song.Occasionally for some reason this song would pop into my head, but after many years i began to question if perhaps this was a figment of my imagination . i was unsure if this music ever existed and maybe was part of some fake memory with only the words what is love echoing in my brain .now 50 years later i punch in the words what is love and much to my surprise the song pops up on u tube in all its glory.wow what a great find !!
Unbelieveble!! In the whole context of this song it gives you the shivering of emotions in live! Since 1972 i listen to this song and still the tears come.
I never heard this in 1968. I heard it for the first time in late 2019. It caught my attention immediately as one of the most moving saxophone solos I've ever heard.
true man, totally awesome. I caught these guys in Vancouver in 69, bought the vinyl on the spot-still have it today, tucked away with my Beatles White Album
I was 14 when I was listening to this and it still has a profound affect on me ! I changed the e to an a and back and forth and finally had to: Affect with an a means "to influence," as in,"The arrows affected Ardvark". Effect with an e has a lot of subtle meanings as a noun, but to me the meaning "a result" seems to be at the core of all the definitions. For example, you can say, "The effect was eye-popping," or "The sound effects were amazing," or "The rain had no effect on Amy's hairdo."
Steeds maar weer kippenvel!! The song comes out of the (honest) emotions of an (honest) man! The sax solo i can remember because of the fact that one of the Dutch radio sites used it some time as an intro fotr their programm, (1972?)
Following is a link for a vid of Claire Lawrence - the very same sax player in this clip - playing with The Hometown Band in 2016. Blissful! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sS2tgjtddH0.html
