Holy fuck, Connor's story with those old ladies made me remember the time two ladies came to my apartment and tried to take me to another city to pray with them in a temple. If you are an Indian like me and know "Hindi" then the amount of educational content you can watch on RU-vid is just mind blowing. There's this teacher known as "Physics Wallah" and basically every student in my whole town knows who he is because of his quality content.

As someone who’s lived in America my entire life, everything they said is true. Portion sizes are ridiculously, cinema prices make no sense, I have actually seen a lard dispenser for popcorn and it’s disgusting. And spray cheese should not be a thing because it is absolutely disgusting.

Honestly not being able to study alone is the reason why I started listening to podcasts while I study so I don’t feel like I’m alone

When I was studying programming in college the Indian tutorials were always the most to the point and useful tutorials. There are two main types of programming tutorials online, 20 minute Indian tutorials that explained everything that you needed to know, or 4 hour Native English Speaker tutorials that explained the bare minimum they could and mostly filled the tutorials with random information or used up a lot of time tutting their own horns.

In America, whenever you order something, it's assumed you will take some of it home for leftovers, that's part of the reason why serving sizes are so large. If you finish your food, you feel like you overpaid.

Fun fact: When I was in college, my school actually purchased an old prison from the city and turned it into dorms. They painted the concrete interiors black, didn't put in carpets, and didn't take the bars off the windows.

On the subject of weird sleeping hours, I live in the US and my work hours are 10PM to 10AM... so I live in reverse hours of most people. And whenever I have time off I literally have to stay awake for 36 hours straight in order to have my internal clock reset to when normal people function.

It's almost been a whole year since this video came out but it remains my favorite next to the food episode. But it also makes me terrified ,I'm currently going to a community college so I can get my basics before heading to SHSU. Is every uni like this?

Love the accent conversation. 1:01:31 Yes we love exotic or foreign languages in the U.S. Connor mentioned using it to get great service. Most servers are treated like shit by rude customers. Just being polite and using manners can go a long way. I made a server cry once (happy tears) because I thanked her, I held an actual conversation beyond ordering, and I told her I appreciated her service. I've lived in 16 different states, 4 countries (including Japan), and I can attest to accents evolving. I have to speak slowly and enunciate or people can't understand me now that I'm picking up the southern Georgia accent.
