Larping as civil rights activists is one of the most insane and depraved things I’ve ever heard of in my life. I’d say you’re soulless but that be giving you too much credit.

What is the problem? Would you say something like that to someone who protested in the 60’s?

There was no real conversation about Gaza when it came to the US Govt. That is why these American taxpayers are protesting. To saying about them is being "performative" caring about human rights is childish and jaded. Why are there so many Jews marching with them?

Regarding killing dogs; You can tell she is cosplaying a culture she isn't a part of and doesn't understand. Dogs are the one thing men are allowed to get emotional about in those parts. It's the one thing they are allowed to express an emotion other than anger for even these men always bragging about how they would have joined the military but they couldn't because they would punch the drill sergeant for getting in their face. Sure maybe you did have to put it down yourself, but because of an infirmity not because you failed to train it properly, and you are remorseful you had to you don't gleefully brag about it. She just doesn't understand these men are more proud of being a good trainer to their dog than how good a parent they are. They dote on them, their dogs, constantly. Seriously. Alot of my inlaws are self-described "haters" with their lightning bolts and everything. Deadbeat dads but you know everytime they are about to go to jail again because they will be reaching out to everyone and seeing who can take care of their pits.

I wore a black armband to protest the Vietnam war, they warned us that we would be expelled and we were. I was far to young to vote but there were many warnings that violent protests would elect Nixon,, it certainly helped.

I will never understand why people feel the need to side and identify with one side or the other. As far as I can tell both these groups are and have always been horrible to each other. Palestinians clearly have alot of terrorists in their population, that have a pretty significant groundswell of support among the general population. And Israel really does in alot of ways fit the settler-colonialism archetype. I mean America did alot of messed up things in Iraq but I don't remember USA Senators calling the Iraqi oil fields "New Texas" and then displacing Iraqis and moving in permanent residents. When you make the USA look good... Neither side is worthy of our support. I'm not even against USA foreign aid in principle, I don't mind helping out Ukraine. I just don't really see a good guy with the IP conflict.

We live in a global community. So, when children anywhere are being mass murdered, it's personal.

It's not "Jewish hummus" because it's made in Israel. Judaism is not synonymous with Zionism and Israeli isn't synonymous with Jewish. There are plenty of non-Jewish Israelis and aren't ya even going to pretend they have equal rights? These exact same tactics were used by students protesting apartheid in South Africa during the 80s and demanded divestment and they were... wrong? Were they smeared as "hate groups"? A large number of the students getting arrested are Jewish and plenty of Jewish led groups are organizing the demonstrations even when those groups are violently attacked like Jewish Voice For Peace. This framing is pathetic.
