I know a lot of people say these are knock offs of a Jordan 1 but I don't consider these knock offs. Knock offs are the shoes that taking the Jordan 1 silhouette and just changing the logo on the side. These take inspiration from the Jordan 1, Blazer, and terminator and changes it up a bit while using better quality materials. That's why I continue to support this brand.
Got a W today. My third pair of this silhouette. Quickly became one of my favorite shoes when I got my first pair last year. I know they constantly get Jordan 1 comparisons online, but I’ve never gotten anything but compliments on them IRL. Amazing shoe.
Love the colour and your video makes these sneakers look “luxurious” for the lack of a better word. The leather seems of great quality and the on feet look was very nice 👍
80’s basketball sneakers has been an inspiration for designer sneakers for a long time. look at what ysl, rhude, off white, axel arigato, bape, rick owens, and others. collegium has their own good looking and well made interpretation of the design

After reviewing a few pairs from them, would you say there is a huge variation in leather quality amongst the different colorways like there is in Jordan 1s?
Looks great. Personally not a fan how Collegium do their aged cupsoles, it's a little too much. If it was white or lightly off white, these would've been right up my alley.
Have a question about the quality of the leather since whenever I hear genuine I associate that with scrap/low quality leather instead of a full grain/good quality. Anyone familiar with this brand that can explain it better to me? Their site also says genuine italian leather/soft calf leather.
Quality of the leather is top notch. The smell alone when you open up the box, you’ll know 🔥 I have 3 pairs and they all age gracefully as you wear them.
I think the price point is a bit much. When U look at it ur pricing these similar to what you would price NB made in UK/USA , but without the tech behind the shoe . Collegium def is a smaller brand I get it , but the price point is a turnoff for me . Just my opinion
You gotta consider the fact that New Balance Made in USA/UK midsoles and outsoles are made in China (not knocking NB for this, I dont really have that big of a problem with it as the upper and actual construction of the shoe being US/UK made makes the biggest difference in quality by far; but it does knock the value proposition a bit). I dont think it's fair to call either shoe a better value, they are on equal levels in my eyes. I'd say both companies provide the best value in sneakers right now and I'm a big fan, and own multiple pairs of both. It's also worth considering that NB owns their production line, while Collegium contracts a factory to produce the shoes so their cost to manufacture is a lot higher, especially when you also take the lower production numbers in to account. I wouldnt be surprised if NB makes more pairs of one colorway/release than Collegium does total pairs in a year. The "tech" point doesnt make much much sense to me either; I just dont really consider anything NB does to be very "techy". If tech is something youre after in sneakers I'd say the Adidas 4D stuff is where its at IMO.
@@SChassisEnjoyer I actually disagree with a couple of points here . The first being the Tech side . NB regarding the construction of their shoes is more technical regarding the composition of their shoes , especially their soles . Made in America/UK lines regardless of their age have more tech regarding their construction than collegium (encap and etc) Collegium is basically rubber and leather . The build and construction of collegium is simple . They sell at a higher price point due to it being constructed in Italy and using premium materials . The construction of the shoe is basic, it models the jordan 1 build (leather and rubber ) . Once again I like the shoe but at the price point I don’t think the value is there for me . Furthermore, NB made in America and UK lines can be regularly be found at a steep discount , which makes the value even better . In my opinion they’re not equal , from a price perspective . Just my take on it

Once again I think from a value proposition it isn’t there for me. Does the value of made in Italy justify the high price point , for a basic leather and rubber construction ? Imo it does not.
If Nike won’t let people buy what they actually want, I’ll happily spend a little more for a version with superior comfort and quality. Got a W on these this morning and they’re my 3rd pair of this silhouette. Couldn’t recommend them enough.
@@fifibao8895 they still are cheaper than what the shoes you love so much go for in the aftermarket. In a vacuum, yes the collegiums are more expensive than the travis fragment 1 highs at retail; but being realistic, virtually no one buys them at retail price, sooo if there is a brand that is making better quality products than nike, for a cheaper price than what you realistically would buy the "original" for (because no one assures you 100% that you are not getting fake travis shoes) why would you not buy it if it is trully something that you like and not just some overhyped piece of plastic and "leather"? I mean, if there is already not a 100% guarantee that you are getting genuine hyped up shoes in the aftermarket, it is simply not worth the risk. At that point either wear fakes, or just don't buy hyped up shit at resale altogether. And don't get me wrong, this color way ABSOLUTELY resembles the Jordans that we are talking about, but man, the colorway is too sick, but is it $1,000+ sick? I don't think so. At the end of the day, do whatever you see fit with your money, but do think things through before buying resale, maybe it is a better idea to spend that money on something else, or not spend it at all...
