I have a pair of collegium and this is true. To actually wrap the laces around you have to make the shoe really really tight and even then there is barley enough lace to tie it up when you do lace it arohnd

I modified my lacing style to make it work.

A bit flatter than an AJ1 I’d say, but the insole is more beefed up too

Compared to other brands it’s well priced… I mean look at the Essentials sneakers up in the $300s and no where near this quality… other premium brands charge between $400-700 for Italian leather

FYI during the 80's even jordan 1 is considered a copy of adidas mid forum, considering adidas debuted those joint february 1984 while jordan 1 is releasing in March 1985 and jordan using a nike airship during a quarter of 1984 (as a matter of fact i believe there is a documentary stating during jordan meeting with nike he wear an adidas forum, that is why during the meeting when phil knight trying to convince jordan to sign with them and promised that he got his signature sneakers, jordan stated i want my sneaker to look like this while unlacing his adidas forum and presenting it in the meeting table ) but as you may or may not know under the Jurisdiction of US Trademark Law mainly governed by the Lanham Act stated you can patent a design product but you can't trademark a shape of a product thus makin a collegium shoe an original product

Big facts! My thoughts exactly. Really really similar. I have the SL10 royal and they are pretty much the pinnacle if you want the best materials, construction etc with that silhoutte.

How can it NOT remind you of the Jordan 1? Everything since the Jordan 1 has been copied 😤

It’s not that. It takes the iconic Bred CW but it’s not the AJ1 silhouette. The Pillar Destroyer High borrows from 3 Nike shoes to form this one. Y’all jus need to look up the history of this PDH, then y’all can have a better understanding. Plus Sean says it in the beginning of the video.

Ahh yeah the Jordan 1 a shoe from the 80s, a time when all the shoe brands ripped each other off in design… laughing at the fact is june 2021 and Nike now obtains a patent for the design
