@@ARG0T yeah but he did it dirty against Badr Hari, his body was totally different in the UFC. He took it just to fight Badr, just shows how unsportsman he really is.
The only mistake he made was probably pointing to the wrong corner the first time Badr went down. Alistair needed to be in the neutral corner before the ref could continue counting, but Alistair walked there very slowly.
Not how it works dummy. When a fighter goes down there is someone on the outside who counts as well so when the ref sends the fighter to the corner he’s not starting at one. The commentary team even said “he should be at eight! Not one.” There’s your problem. Not overeem walking slowly.
In kick boxing winning round is more important or beating your opponent alot is more important? I see Badr won 2 rounds out of 3 And overreem won 1 round out of 3 but he won the fight bcoz he beaten Badr more in R3?
It takes a lot of courage to fight a powerhouse like Overeem knowing that he's coming for revenge and it takes a lot of intent to fight a top level fighter like Hari at the age of 42 knowing that your reflex & muscles won't act the way they did 5 years back. Immense respect to both warriors.
@Justin Spiguzza Totaly agree. On second KO, Badr falls @21:36 and the clock is 0:59 when he fully gets back up @21:51 and the clock is 0:45, he was down for 13 seconds, Ref only started to count @21:43, clock is 0:53, it took him 5 to 6 seconds to start counting Badr. I'm bias as I always love The Reem, even though Badr displayed much better skill in his fight imho, but objectively speaking, the ref is bias asf. Hopefully, the judges gave him to the Reem. Respect to both nonetheless, two legends.
Man what a legend Reem is. Having watched him around Pride FC days, bounced to K1 then UFC, this dude has been around for so long and still racking up wins. Badr has definitely lost a step in his athleticism, and both have regresssed tremendously from their 2nd fight. But man, still what an awesome fight. Props to these two legends!
@@sagan08 then why didnt everyone else he fought test positive? and so many times like he did? cant even begin to fathom what he was taking in organizations that didnt even test.. goes down in history as a classical cheater, because thats what steroids are...cheating
The Alistair dive. When Mr Overeem goes in for the kill he simulates a high diver throwing all caution to the wind dives in and starts punching. Love it.
Don't forget the audience. It's so crazy. Badr was born in Amsterdam yet he chooses to fight under the Maroccan flag. He is a convicted felon and everytime he fights in The Netherlands against a dutch guy, the audience is booing the dutch guy, even if he fights against Verhoeven. What a country...
@Stugna Bulah they are not muslims from all around the world. They are Maroccan people from The Netherlands and maybe a couple from Belgium and Germany. In The Netherlands there are almost half a million Maroccan people.
Very cool that these two world class fighters decided to fight again, after all these years. Classy, mature, and professional in their dialogue. No b.s. trash talking really.......Overeem is actually in great shape, especially for a 42 year old.... Hari did not look like he was in great shape. Surprised to see how heavy he is. He looked okay but nothing like the maniac fast powerful striker he once was, when he was more lean. Mad respect for both fighters. Legends.
They shouldn’t come back, better to preserve their health, not take more years of their longevity. They probably have financial problems to return to fighting well over the hill. It’s sad to see these old men beating each others brains out, these blood thirsty ‘fans’ don’t really care they just want to see blood and KO.
Not true, someone on the outside should be counting so when the ref comes to Badr he isn’t giving him more time, like he did, to recover. Even commentary points out the error.
@@kyokushinfightfullmma never heard of this in boxing and kickboxing... Ref is supposed to start counting Not walk overeem to his corner and 5 sec later start counting.

Wat een prachtige reportage van beiden Legends.. Jammer vn Badr zijn afgelopen partijen enz. maar hij was wel echt een hype die de sport deed veranderen en echt kwam vechten en niet afwachtend. Thanks daarvoor Respect !!
@@CASSEMELLO As if that means anything; Hari got busted for roiding in 2019 himself. In fact, almost everyone Overeem fought in the UFC failed a test or was on TRT or both - Bigfoot, Brock, Mir, Werdum, JDS, Rothwell, Walt Harris... PEDs are part of the sport at the elite level and anyone who can't accept that is delusional.
Grate fight of old stars. Thanks you guys. Both are not already young, and not in their best shapes. But still strong and dangerous. In this fight Overim was really stronger. In last round he saved Hari from knockout. It is a sight of respect
Well, no. Badr Hari won the 2 first rounds (for me AND for 4 of 5 judges estimation), Overeem was not "really stronger". And he didn't saved Hari from knockout 😂. He probably would have knockout him if the referee didnt chill out during counting the 1st KD. So, Overeem victory may be deserved yes... But definitely not stronger, he almost didnt land at all and toke all the punches during first 2 rounds !

@@syedasharimam When you get knocked down you lose one point. If you win a round without a knockdown it is 10-9 for the winning fighter. So badr won the first two 10-9 so the score is 20-18, and then he lost the last round 10-7 because he got knocked down twice so total score is 28-27 for overeem.
well said back on the juice :)) Overeem on steroids 99% Badr on steroids 70% , Overeem last time looked this jacked in UFC before he got caught and banned for 2 years
GLORY's at it again. Both the knockdown counting were ridiculous. The ref was at 3 when he should have been at 6 to say the least. Same thing they did with Wrzosek the second fight. Happy to see Reem with the fight.
Respect to both of these men. Both have definitely lost more than a step since their prime. Fighting is a hard sport though and most are not up to the challenge
What Overeem did for MMA in the early days did Badr Hari for kickboxing. Both can be considered GOATS in there disicplines. Greatings from a Overeem fanboy! Both Legends in the Netherlands and worldwide.
@@jamescraig5321 badr looks juicehead too , if someone doesn't look like bodybuilder that doesn't mean they r not juicing and look at badr flag representing Morocco instead of Netherland.
What are you talking about, these guys looked great, even when compared to guys in their prime today at the top. They deserve a little respect and I guarantee you wouldn't say that to their face.
You gotta like overeem he's been competing for years even in boxing and MMA guys a legend and deserves to be in the hall of Fame in both UFC and boxing this dude is unbelievable I hope he has a great Christmas this year and everyone as well
Dude thanks so much! Even by reading this by text and not even knowing where youre from, it felt warm hearted! Hope you had a great christmass too! Greatings from colombia!
haha lool , Alistair Overeem has been suspended for one year and his win over Badr Hari has been overturned due to a violation of Glory’s anti-doping rules. In addition to the suspension, Overeem has been removed from the GLORY rankings and has been asked to turn over a percentage of his winnings from the fight. RIP

I'm more shocked that the shock wave of a punch or kick even reaches his brain.. His head is so meaty. Although he's probably just got a regular sized adult male skull under that meat shield.
When a boxer is knocked down, the referee shall direct the opponent to move to the farthest neutral corner of the ring. If the opponent leaves the neutral corner, the referee shall interrupt the count and will not resume the count until the opponent returns to the neutral corner. This for anyone that was wondering about the late count
They are compatibles, both strong, they have grown older and wiser, love them both. These are men that keep us loving these sport. I grant both of them a great fight and a victory.
This referee should have stopped it. He clearly put Bard in serious jeopardy when gave him those long counts. Bard could have been SERIOUSLY hurt for life.
honestly it makes me a little sad to see them fight the roaring twenties have passed but this sport has become such a part of their lives that they will fight until the end

Badr had the whole crowd and the referee on his side, all the while fighting a guy who hasn't fought in kickboxing in over a decade and still couldn't pull off a victory how sad 😞 time to retire. The first 2 rounds were close but Badr definitely gassed out in the 3rd showing his age.
RICO is the best and the most legendary...his fights and reigning on the throne is unreal...thanks a lot King and congratulations from the bottom of my heart.....❤️🍀💯💪🙏🤜🤛
Who ever wins or loose you are both legends. I still remember when I first started watching MMA and I saw Alistair Overeem he looked like a fighter made out in some mad scientist lab, like a Gi Joe and then I came to know about a proud... Proud talented fighter who doesn't know to give up, Badar Hari. You are both legends ❤❤❤
This ref had to have been paid to help Badr. Didnt call the KD in round 2 which isnt too bad. Despite Badr touching down, he stayed up so you can forgive the ref for not seeing it, or letting it go. However, the counts he was giving in round 3 are unforgiveable. Badr had been down for a good 5 seconds and he was starting the count at 1
2 great champions….it’s a hard game…only real man can do it. Respect to both of them. This Time you loose Badr but you are still number 1…due to your score during the last decade. Again respect for both of you.
👏 Congratulations Overreem Great Comeback 43 yrs !! Kept the Pressure on strong the whole Fight his Cardio was Insane and 3 round heavy on his Strikes really did serious damage 💯🙏
It really is a shame that both fighters are near the end of their career, in the Netherlands there is no one else to take their place, not tecnical and definitely not charisma wise. We will miss these two superb athletes.
Overeem is back on the horsemeat. Maybe just TRT. He was so much softer when he was tested by USADA in UFC. His transformation is similar to that of Vitor when he left UFC.
