I am moroccan and i take my hat off to rico. what a warrior he is. Bloody hell his eyes is wide open still he keeps fighting and taking heavy punches on his wounded eye. to me he deserves to be a world champion. rico has a heart of steel. I am so glad his wound is ok now. respect from morocco
if Rico fought with a bloody face Bensadik came back from cancer before you worship a dutch that hates your guts respect your fellow countrymen and don't be s moron.
@@swaffelkonijn1752 Well you said it so it must be true. No one takes your word as fact, and even if it were true, why would anyone care? It has nothing to do with his athletic achievement.
@@jojojimys looooooool. Jamal nearly got koed 30 seconds earlier. Thats what changed the fight, you must be moroccan. He literally cheated through the whole fight, spending extra time in the corner, punching rico on the ground and yet you think he lost on purpose 😂😂 jamal just has no heart unlike rico
Pretty new to watching Glory. Every Rico fight I've watched so far he's faced some adversity early on. Dude's ability to recover is insane & has the heart of a warrior.
"So what are you gonna do now?" "I'm gonna rest, and then I'm gonna go back to the drawing board and analyse this fight a million times, to see what I did wrong, and get better." That's his answer after a WIN. Now that's a champion mentality.
@@bizmonkey007 Rico had better indurance, and/or fought more economical the first rounds, dispite taking a beating and defending poorly. Saddik seems to focus on power, and and early KO. Luck's got little to do with that IMO.
rico is a monster u can say nothing about him a real champion, But for jamal the same problem, his physical condition betraying him, we raise our hat for a men who battled cancer and overcame it, continued training and returned to the ring . greetings from a moroccan 🇲🇦 💪🏽 🇳🇱
Let me start this by saying this was the first kickboxing match I have ever watched. From the initial stats one would think that Jamal would have the advantage, and it seemed that way for a while. However, stats cannot convey the endurance that Rico displayed. What a machine.
Cancer is not easy on the body and mind, and the treatment even tougher. Even after years of recovering the body still is weak and not the same strenghth as before. That's why Jammal gets exausted after 2nd round. Speaking of experience I know what this guy has been through and still is even with "cancer free now" which is a remission and not a total cure. Big respect to this Warrior. Ricco is an amazing fighter as well. Big respect to both of them
im currently in treatment but i still play football every once in a while i always used to be the fastest on the pitch but my body cant keep up rn respect to you brother 🫂
Jamal hitting him on the deck and his team trying to buy time for their exhausted fighter then going crazy for one punch after the bell. Glad they lost.
@@zeddii7126 Nope, he had no steam, no conditioning and got by on his size alone. He didn't seem talented in the least. Go pretend people from his domain can fight if it makes you feel better, but he LOOKED PATHETIC, as did his loser, low class fans
@@babo85 I already broke 4 people their fibula! And had no pain myself at all! It's all about training! And yes! Your shin doesn't have many pain receptors! You go and hit your pinky toe to a chair! There are much more pain receptors there!
@@klixovic6855 Nothing like Badr. Badr always beats himself with his uncontrolled flying kicks breaking his own bones. Baddik tried to win with the cheapest trick in the book punching the eye open. Rico shows his perfect sportsmanship being mercy-full in the end round three. I'm proud to see such an exemplary athlete win what is truly his.
No matter what people want to say Rico Verhoeven is definitely one of the greatest kickboxers of all time. He deserves to be mentioned along the lines with guys like Hoost, Aerts, Schilt, Bonjasky, Cikatic etc
Old school. Good to see the ref didn't stop the fight. Glad these 2 got their beef sorted and respect each other now and so can anyone watching them fight out this trilogy.
Both fighters were amazing...even though the fight was incomplete, they both made one of most memorable fights...Jamal with his condition but gave a fight night, and Rico with his flaws but bleed out his heart... Wont forget this short but emotional fight.
I was upset at first that i could not see Alistair fight during my first glory event. But my sadness turned into happiness when this fight started. What a fight and overall great event! I will go again in the future💪🏻
I think alistar, did'nt suffer from an injury. I think more like doping was into play. If you remember the press conference in between rico and alistar; rico said something about being doping free and like pointing the finger tot alistar. Right after that he had to resign. I think they did that to protect alistar's rep.
What an awesome fight! These two gladiators are full of heart, the real deal...and such RESPECT for one another! I am always amazed at how two incredibly powerful and huge human beings can trade blows like that and not even flinch! Definitely one of my favorite fights of all time!
Back in the days with boxing (heavy weights) they used to go up to 15 rounds. Punches they threw where quite harder and the beatings fighters took where intense.
Rico always fighting hard, his physics and mental are in different level. His combination of kicks and boxes could not be able to observed by opponents for many years that's why he is still champion. So many top fighters came up but he let them down.
Rico's body kicks , knees, left uppercuts and right hands were taking there toll on the Goliath. Yes even Body kicks were a factor for sure . Rico's body kicks are brutal and imo are underestimated.
Are you dumb. Its super simple. Rico survived because of his condition.has said so himself. Both winners.rico had the condition. Jamal really had the punches.
Do you really think that jamal was really up by the punches. No everything was still standing. He was tired as fuck and yes in the end he hit well but he was on really because of his condition. Then he could hit back. His head was still up almost the whole fight
The fight could have easily been stopped because of the terrible cut, and the fight was in the balance but the incredible will to win from Rico made this one of the most dramatic fights ever.
I think it could have been stopt both ways for the cut but also at some points Rico was Kneeing him in the Face and Bombing him in the Clinch with multiple Shots and Jamals was out on his Feet and the Ref seperated them and gave him Seconds that he needet so he was able to comeback but in the End he anyways Lost you need to Ko Rico COld if you let him hit you for 2-3 Rounds its over your Legs,Arms he will shatter everything into Pieces his Shots are not allways 100% Power he hits multiple with 70-80% that add up and totaly destroy the Opponents Body until he gives out alone his inside Calf Kicks etc are so fcking ruthless this Man is 270 Pounds full of Muscle and Strength with a insane Gastank all respekt to Rico and also to Jamal both are Monsters!
@@DevilsAvocado69 yeah hes even bigger then Ngannou and prob hits harder then him ^^ find it funny how they allways make everyone believe Blacks have that crazy Genetiks but there are Whites walking around 270 Pounds full of Muscle like him and its no rar Thing in Poland,Holland or Russia ,Austria we have alot of 190 cm 2 Meter tall big full of Muscle Freak of Nature Whites with insane Genetiks!
@@Herogames2022 Yeah it's another unfounded stereotype, there's not many black guys in the worlds strongest man competitions. I live in Scotland and there's plenty of big guys here, we have the Highland games here which is a series of events based on strength and some of they guys are absolute units. I'm 6ft 1 and about 15st, think that's about 210lbs american and standing next to some of the dudes I feel tiny lol.
The best performance I've seen from a fighter in my entire life was this performance by Rico. the guy is a lion, the king. one of the best fights I've ever seen in my life. even in boxing in recent years there are no fights like this. got worse in ufc. it only existed in Pride. my respect to the king of kickboxing of Brazil 🇧🇷🤝🇳🇱
This fight is soooo entertaining I agree. But this is purely because these two fighters have terrible defence and physical fitness! This is a bum fight in comparison to Fury vs Wilder 3!!
@@alpha-cf2oi Nah, you are a fool. It's a joke for this guy to say this fight is the best he has seen in his life. And to compare it boxing and UFc fights this year like Pete Yan vs Cory Sandhagen, Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder or Justin Gaethje vs Michael Chandler is a even BIGGER JOKE. This Moroccan fighter is actually one of the biggest jokes ever, I've never seen someone so unfit and pathetic defensive skills turning his head
Outside of hanging onto the clinch a little to long throughout the fight this is another masterclass by Rico. He demonstrates what excellence in the basics can do.
@@DontConvinceMe He stated 10 title defences which is all the ten title matches he won since since Rico became champion 2014. **Correction 11 defences according to Glory site**
You don't hit a downed opponent, especially when the ref's also trying to stop you-- should've been a DQ. Glad to see Rico recover & retain his title. Hope the eye's healing up alright.
What a tough decision to decide if you should retreat when you feel you are losing, to Live and fight another day.. or say “fuck it” and fight until your body gives out. My respects to these warriors
every PRO fighter knows these things... But when you are standing in that ring, it is easy to forget. If badr was in that ring and jamal was comentating, jamal would also give great advice!
Jamal perfectly demonstrated "everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the face". He truly smashed Rico's defense, fighting style and tactics out of his mind. Rico proved he can take a punch and truly is a warrior in his heart. +1000 respect for both of these lions.
Rico still be the champ!
I think Badr was not really an objective commentator. He did not want to compliment Ricos abilities. He always said "It's just because Jamal turns his head" instead of appreciating the big overhand right by Rico.
If this fight doesn't inspire you and win the respect of Rico than you are not on the good guy team !!! Even the Goliath had to respect Rico after this , I mean come on.
this si the first kickboxing match ive watched and honesly, what a fucking fight. theyre both proper warriors and you cant help but respect them both, bloody hell
Having some commentary from a pro fighter in the sport is amazing! Makes the fight so much more entertaining and intense to folllow. Such a damn good fight!
Did you notice Badr was coaching Jamal a few times when things really got ugly? Badr just dropped his headset to yell at Jamal to keep watching and don't turn his head.
