I have passed this place many times since I have lived here in Nashville. It's only 5 miles from where I live, sad day when no one would buy it, then they tore it down and built a carwash there!!! Nashville has lost so many historical buildings over the years so sad Nashville doesn't care about saving these buildings!!
@Tony Ray Yeah... It seems like no City is interested in preserving it's history, especially lately. Ya'd think that with all these supposed "Billions" just floating around, that some wealthy fan would buy and save these places... Nope.😒 The true Historians are apparently far and few between, these days!
Keeping this place would be like making o.j simpsons house into a museum after he murdered ron and nicole in fact instead of tearing it down it should have been burned down!!!!
I have passed by this house many times, I had no idea the significance of this building. It is sad that we are losing all these places of musical history throughout the country.
Great stuff. Elvis rented a hanger from my grandfather when he played Birmingham in 1976 I believe. He called my grandfather (or his people) and ask if he could hanged his plane for some minor repair while the plane was in town. Because my grandfather was so nice Elvis sent us tickets and I met him just before the show.
I watch all your videos I miss these two.when I went to Graceland in the early 70s Elvis was alive my souvenirs were styx and stones from from Graceland you couldn’t buy nothing of Elvis . I still have them
I can’t believe the city of Memphis or EP Enterprises didn’t purchase it! Not only is it amazing music history they could have generated revenue by touring it? Set it up with items not currently available for viewing. I’m just shocked.
I literally have the chill's. You guy's make me want to cry!! I can't believe you are doing this..thank you from the bottom of our heart's. I didn't think anyone else would care about the littlest detail's like I do.
By me being a General Contractor/Home Builder & Remodeler here in Central Arkansas (est ‘95), this is “absolutely amazing“ and it’s so fascinating to me! Not just because of the obvious but the whole construction type experience as a whole.
Another great video Billy. The house was built in 1935 and was in fact bought by The Colonel in the early fifties from non other than Hank Snow. He had the house until the early eighties, maybe 82, when the EP Estate took it over in a law suit. There is a very interesting video of the previous owner, Judge Steve North, who gives a guided tour of the house and fan club building when it was used as a law office. He also interviews Ray Parker of the Jordanaires, who use to come to the house to meet The Colonel. Some really interesting video of The Colonels' office when it was in use. Hope this adds some factual information to your video and look forward to the next installment! Nick from the UK
Another interesting video. So glad there are special people to save things like this for the ages that are not here yet. Some people don't realize that once this stuff is gone, it is GONE forever!! Although I will probably never get the chance to ever meet you, Brian or his wife I want to thank you all for what you are doing my friend.
I appreciate so much what this person is doing..to keep memories of our Elvis alive..it's so heartbreaking to know that Elvis history is being torn down..regardless of my thoughts of c.tom..they still could have kept these buildings intact..for Elvis history instead of tearing them down...it's sad
Billy, it s that they tore it down. Alot of history happened there. Glad that Brian is doing this and that Spa Guy got this great footage. Thank you so much. God Bless.
Everytime im on Gallatin Rd, that Car Wash that replaced Parkers home and office infuriates me. Historical wise, its really 2nd as far as importance to Graceland.
Great video. I've seen that iconic picture (from 1956 or '57) of Elvis and The Colonel for years, in fact it's one of the first pics of Elvis and The Colonel I ever saw, but I had no idea where it was taken until now.
That is just amazing how you were able to be there in time before all was tore down for share this video A piece of history saved in capture ! How amazing!
I just can't explain the vibes I get when I see this stuff from so long ago. Being a fan, I do feel a sense of sadness that people that had a connection with Elvis have passed and buildings with tons of memories are being torn down. But thanks to you and folks like Brian and Sally, we have saved some of it. Merry Christmas!
What a nice looking place. Could make a Restaurant out of it !..sad they had to tear it down...it could have become a landmark eventually....but not now ! ☹️
You guys just don't know how much these videos are appreciated by those of us, like myself, that are disabled and can't go, do or see things like this. Even though I have a certain dislike for Tom Parker, it is still history and it is Elvis history. I thought that he treated Elvis in a totally selfish way. Even after Elvis' death at his funeral, it was so obvious that he had no respect for Elvis and was there only because he had to be. However, had it not been for him, Elvis might have not made as much money as he did, so there is definitely two sides. Yet again, another great video! Keep up the great work Spa Guy!
Ok fans, this is epic!! Thx!! I have a HUGE collection of Elvis memorabilia my next Gabor Penny Miller collected.. outtakes from movies, private Elvis home movies, every Elvisnews story ever broadcast.. She was obsessed with getting everything. I have her collection now and will be posting... regards..
It's a shame they tore this down to build a car wash but, at least they could save some of it. I hope the car wash gets torn down someday. Thanks Billy.
It’s really sad they wouldn’t allow this man to just purchase this property and preserve it in its proper place. A car wash can go anywhere. The city leaders should’ve stepped in and helped this man keep it there.
This man is a darling person. I love that he loves music history and you too for making these videos so we are all able to see them. Thank you Billy ! You do such a great job my friend.
Oh boy, did I enjoy this episode! How in the world did those papers, and poster get in those blocks? Maybe the Colonel planted them there for someone like yourself and Brian to find? Ha Ha! Too bad the place was tore down, but I'm so thankful for this thoughtful man's actions to save what he did. I'm also thankful that you filmed this and have been so kind to share it with us! I can't wait to see the other parts!
Thanks Mary, I have much more I am working on from this location.. I was able to treasure hunt the house and found a few small things.. Stay Tuned.. Spa Guy
I'm glad I've came across your videos 1st. I learned my 1st bits about him, his death,Graceland & his grave watching your stuff. Born & raised in Shreveport,La where he performed at the La hayride wish I would of been alive to see him. My mom was just a born in 66 age 11 when he died but her 1st husband she married into the Presley side of the family his family believe it or not. Where her ex husband my siblings father his grandad recieved the letter when elvis passed. Now old enough at 29 and having RU-vid to do so I'm learning more about Elvis & plan to visit Graceland 1 day with my kids to get as close to knowing & seeing his things as I can. I'm more interested in learning about him then the presley side of my family for some reason but I've always known who he was and the relations. Fascinating to see the places he once was,ate at,started at,recorded at & some videos of him as a kid to the day he died. Thanks for sharing all these !!
💕Glad they saved and preserved historical gems! Modernism is doing away with too many historical sites, etc. As always it’s up to the ppl to preserve accurately what modern society doesn’t value or understand. 🌸🌸

Thank you and Brian for your attention to detail in this amazing video. So glad that Brian is doing this work to save the colonel office and the Elvis history.
so sad to see what happend with sush an amazing place that meant so much in elvis life , why for god sak let the Elvis Presley Enterprises this happend . how stupid that the city of ??? this lets happend . thanks for making the movie mt friend , god bless the good man who will save a part of this amazing place , greetz from belgium
This is why we don't have old buildings in this country like they do in Europe. We demolish them and, build something else unless it's labeled historical. This is really sad and, a part of history. Thanks for taking me with you so I could see this. I hope they rebuild the pieces somewhere else so we can see it.
A shame it had to be torn down ..luckily all the stuff from inside is being saved and hopefully he can recreate a fan house in another location ..the bathroom is exactly like our 1950s pink and black bathroom except that one was yellow and black ..typical 1950s bathroom we love it and it's never been changed ..the tile in it is 9x9 asbestos so I'm sure the tile there is the same ..great video thank you
I REALLY enjoyed this and here's why : I lived within walking distance since 1981, but never knew the back story until it went up for sale and the controversy started.
I passed the car wash yesterday, I was born in Nashville in 1961 and ran around with Patsy's Cline's son in Madison also she only lived about five miles from here.
This video is gold. Thank you so much for filming Spa Guy and thank you very much to Brian Oxley for allowing you to film, for showing us around & sharing some interesting history and stories. Looking forward to more and hopefully seeing the recreated fan club one day when it is finished.
I really appreciate all these awesome videos you do. I think it's time for me to visit Brian's place in Bon Aqua...I only live about 45 minutes from there . I had heard a little about it but YOU have helped me learn sooo much more. Thank you, again. Can't wait for more on "this" story.
Tell Brian you heard about it from the Spa Guy.. He is a Great Guy and Storytellers Museum is Awesome.. They have live music at too later in the week..
This video is beyond fantastic. Thank you for once again for all of your hard work and sharing this with all of us! I really hated to see this one end. I'm looking forward to the rest. You are by far the greatest Elvis historian out there. Out of all the countless video's I've watched on Elvis yours are by far the best and most informative. I love the way you take us on the journey with you.
I think this guys brain never stops thinking gears are always turning that's why he can hardly finish a sentence. Cant wait to see how he puts it all together.
They did the SAME EXACT thing to Ike & Tina's house in Beverly Hills, CA. It was MINT with even the original wallpapers & furniture too! Some youtubers went in and filmed everything & got pieces of stuff. They even filmed the movie "whats love got to do with it" there. I was blown away that someone preserved the entire house like Graceland all these years. Some seller buys it and wants it gone. So so sad.
@Spa Guy. Billy you did it again, thank you for another interesting & informative video, I just want you to know that it is greatly appreciated! And as always you keep us all tightened up at every chance you get! Thank you again my friend, SGF
