I am very excited to see the future of this company. In my country, when you own one of the products of this company, you are considered very lucky. Frankly, the acquisition of a micrometer from this company is equivalent to riding a Mercedes here. It is for people who are very professional in their work and are keen on incredibly accurate dimensions BOOM 💥

I own made-in-Japan Mitutoyo products and they have worked flawlessly for YEARS. Love this company that has so much to offer with such high principles.

Amazing video guys!I am a CMM programmer and we have a lot of Mitutoyo machines in our inspection lab. I love hearing the stories of the Mitutoyo technicians when we have them over for calibrations about their factory in Japan. Now I have seen a glimps of it and understand what they are talking about. Amazing stuff, they do everything themselves and outsource nothing!

You guys did an excellent job on this tour. What struck me, though, was how respectful and genuine you were. Sometimes, in the manufacturing sector, companies can be a bit patronizing toward companies from other countries - particularly Asian-based ones. As an Asian-American, thank you for your genuine kindness, respect, and appreciation for our culture and work.

Awesome tour. Travis and Tyson you all did a fantastic job on the Asian tour. Well spoken, I could watch your videos all day. What’s truly mind blowing is the brilliant minds behind the automation in these facilities. So much is taken for granted these days. Thanks to Titans of CNC and Mitutoyo for giving us a peek behind those closed doors. Amazing space age technology we have and most people have no clue as to what’s going on around them. Much love and gratitude.

When I had a tour of the Joliet facility, was told that the first 100 micrometers made, only 20 passed their quality inspection.

Just recently bought a set of Mitutoyo's Digimatic Snap Bore Gages. I've always been impressed with Mitutoyo's craftsmanship and affordability but the snap bore gages are next level. Every morning when I come in, do my rounds and check the gage to the standard it's always dead nuts. Not to long ago we took on work from a Fortune 500 company that is bring their manufacturing back to the States. I want to keep the work we've got and take on more in the future. We're holding a few tenths and the gages give me confidence in the work we are sending out.

What a great video....its sad that the general public has no idea of what it takes to manufacture and measure components assembled in so many of our products in the modern world.

I've gotten 2 12" digital calipers stolen. would be nice if Mitutoyo partnered up with tile to track the caliper via Bluetooth. i might just open my current one up and see if i can fit the tile Bluetooth chip in there.

Would have been done with EDM(Electrical Discharge Machining) but think that was a typo, pretty sure the smallest hole ever machined is .00044". Hopefully they do more EDM videos soon.

10 microns (0.010 mm) is only 0.0004 inches. You were off by an order of magnitude. And 30 microns is just over "one thou", not a tenth.

Starrett was my go to for many years, but as their quality has declined over the years, Mitutoyo's just seem to be getting better. Please don't mistake this as me saying starrett is junk, but they are not what they used to be.
@GrumpyMachinist
@GrumpyMachinist Год назад
I changed from Starrett when my coworker bought a pair of 6" absolute digimatic calipers. He uses and abuses them around the saw daily and they are holding up just fine. In fact they changed my whole attitude on digital instruments.
