He already have done that, thats why he could do it again, he knew that Sisqui was going to throw the ball just right there, you can see the same interaction in 1:30
The Leo training is like this: You raise your competitive level a lot, u see the game with other eyes, u understand things u didnt know b4. In exchange, u reduce your chances of beating Leo to 5-10%.
Bruh this female commentator is awful (not bc she’s a female I just don’t know her name) I’ve watched multiple sets of her commentating and she literally theorizes about the smallest interactions, and spends 30 seconds giving an explanation on every 2 second interaction, and mostly just explains shit that anyone with eyes could see for themselves, we won’t talk about barely even giving whoever she commentates with a chance to speak.
I would have thought Leo at least drops 1 game, but practice sessions with sisqui really paid off. Also nice of Leo to not go aegis on sisqui lol, if you watched GF live you would know what I mean.
I'm a byleth main. I literally sigh and mutter obscenities under my breath when I see Samus pop up on elite smash. It's a nightmare unless the Samus is just bad. There just aren't many openings to punish and Samus can just camp the whole game basically for free.
@@charlieprindle2368 French, I believe. Accents can sound like lisps; eg. certain Spanish accents straight-up include what we'd call lisping as normal, intended sounds.
I came to watch this set after watching Mr. R's set against Sisqui to see how he'd handle this and one thing I noticed is, for lack of a better term: Leo does not give a shit about samus' range and ability to control the stage! Like he runs up confidently in neutral in game one, not to hit but I guess to test the waters, then backs off and adjusts his positioning. And omg the amount of jumps from the ledge. He literally kept mashing jump despite it being a bad option since it could easily be covered. But it just works!! Of course he mixed up his landings to allow him to be safe but still! Wth?! It's like his game plan was to just rush samus down no matter what before she has the time to set up and start playing mind games as to what to do in nuetral, and it paid of really well!!😅
Daramgar is maybe the best commenter is smash ult currently (at least top 3) IMO. But unfortunately you'll see much hate because Daramgar is transfem and rhotacistic.
@@adrianordp Yea, I looked them up on twitter and they seem like a wonderful person. The smash community is pretty toxic anyways so I’m not surprised but they seem really happy on their twitter so more power to them
@@johnasamoah8668 I'd say there are few toxic members, but they are loud and rude trying to appear as a majority among us. They are homophobic and intolerant about Daramgar trying to make her leave the scene and trying to sound like she is was bad commenter so the TO fires her. These people don't deserve being in the smash community, they deserve jail.
@@fupalover He has to "surpass" his heyday... that's right. I think now zackray is behind 1st player and has looked uneasy, even though he won kagaribi twice. I want him to win あcola at first!!
@@fupalover ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IcQHugvQosI.html In this video, he said that he WILL attend Kagaribi8, but he felt tired bacause of Pokemon Unite(he played team game for the first time, and there were many fun and difficult things). He has motivation for smash, but it's not for winning tournament but just playing. "I'm a professional so I have to join it, but...I'm wondering if I join Kagaribi and don't have confidence in the current condition. Anyway I still have a month to participate in it, so I'm going to play offline."
Jesus, this was hard to watch. Leo played Me Likey Bouncey and Sisqui didn't adapt. He should have applied pressure straight up his face instead of playing the distance. Run and shoot is too expected. Take Leo of his game by making her less predictable. There were no bomb set ups, and no projectiles while returning on or off stage. More pressure Sisqui, and again good job to both competitors.
It's easy to say "oh, this pro player that's really good and certainly better than me, they did this wrong" or "They should have done that" but I'd say your advise... well, I wouldn't exactly call it worthless to Sisqui, but again, he is a pro, and you are just some random guy. No offense.
@@malcolmfletcher2659 lol emotionally damaged by my comment are we? Did we watch the same match? Did Leo jump around? Did Sisqui use bombs in the neutral game? Did he (Sisqui) attack while he or his opponent was returning to the stage? Did Sisqui get hit with the same bair 3-4 times after using jump to get back on stage? It's simply wild to respond to a logical observation with emotion. Besides "you're a random blah blah blah" have an actual response. Say something that adds to the conversation of improvement rather than bash me bc someone said something YOU don't like. Here's the thing - I WANT to see Quik, Sisqui, Icymist, Teaser, Ramboss, Joker and every other Samus win so I ID what they can do to improve their game. Simple as that. Now, if you're unable to add to the conversation, if you're unable to ID how these players can improve with a character I've used since Melee, when the game was about speed and pressure? Then leave me alone to comment.
@@malcolmfletcher2659 nice way to admit defeat my guy. I only wanted an intelligent debate. Clearly, you're unable to hold a stance and defend it. Have a good day.
@@ShuffleAlliance Well dang, if that isn't the second most pretentious thing I've ever heard. Totally uncalled for, too. You're gonna start hurting my feelings soon.
Her tools are outclassed by other character's projectiles. Mii Gunner has a better kit from a projectile standpoint. Her missiles have terrible end lag and are near useless in 1v1. Byleth is more than capable of dealing with Samus as is all the DLC
@@ZumaZoom07 top tier not S class. if all her tools were perfect everyone would say she's S class and it only makes sense that other characters would do other thing better. The reason why I say that is Samus has a tool for almost every situation and her neutral game is better then it should be There's no better overall Zoner. Her missiles are a keep away tool not a smash attack. I think Samus has a better time in that match up but mklo is mklo.
Yeah, she's top tier. Charge shot is amazing, she has pretty good close-range options, and her other projectiles make approaching even harder. Not OP, but very good.
I'd personally say she's high tier, at a gatekeeping level. The existence of Palu, Spacies + DLC 2 kind of knocked her down a peg. She's very strong, but is missing key elements for her to deal with most top tiers
Quik is the better Samus for sure (and probably player as well), and has pioneered much of the competitive Samus meta throughout Ultimate. Sure he had a break during covid, but still undisputedly better. Sisqui will get there someday, I’m sure. He’s been grinding really hard for it, but the skill gap is still noticeable between these two.
Is Sisqui's name actually pronounced with the English qu sound? I always assumed it was Sis-key because he's Spanish but this announcer is saying Sis-kwi too Edit: I checked twitter and he has the German and Russian flags in his bio so maybe he's pronouncing it wrong too lol. I can't imagine a Spanish player not pronouncing their tag in Spanish
idk if daramgar has actually been going to speech therapy or not but I find the impediment not nearly as distracting as I once did. Maybe that's because of the accent of the co-commentator, or maybe there really is improvement happening. Either way, I didn't even really think about it while watching this at all.
Not sure if Dara has been doing speech therapy but their improvement on commentary over the last year has been an incredible journey to experience. Keep it up! Big fan!
Did that dude really say byleth has one of the best recoveries in the game? Must have not seen the esam vs Leo set to show just how good of a recovery it was.
@@fupalover As a puff/Lucina comain recoveries that are in my opinion better than byleths: Pacman, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, ROB, Snake, Hero (with Zoom), Meta knight, Steve, Peach, Yoshi (double jump armor carries hard),Wolf (most underrated recovery in the game), Sheik, Bayonetta, G&W Maybe Greninja and Sonic Byleth has a good recovery but not top 5.
