Mattia Lombardi I wanted Elegant to win but MKLeo played perfectly, this is probably my favourite smash set of all time.

I want to be humble about it like you're trying to be, but... I just can't. I don't even play Smash anymore and I still get triggered whenever somebody defends Cloud by pointing out that he has weaknesses. As if they somehow equalize his enormous and frankly stupid strengths. As if "tiers don't matter" -- getting really annoyed and tired of that argument. I don't think anyone is saying if you pick a lower tier character, you automatically lose to a higher tier character. It's just generally, in a trend, easier to pick the top tier character in some way. Either they have more options, better options, or are just easier to play. Cloud is an obnoxious character, regardless of skill level. He doesn't get fucked as easily as you suggest, either. Not that it's terribly hard to gimp him, but a lot of the cast has a hard time reliably doing it -- at least last I played. But even if they didn't, Cloud still has retarded frame data, range, and kill power on top of an insane juggle game, arguably the best pressure tool in the game (limit charge) which is practically a zero-risk way to get your opponent to do what you want them to, even when it's a bad idea. Let's not forget that limit cross slash has intangibility on frame 6 -- meanwhile Shulk's fastest move is only a single frame faster, and that move (jab) doesn't combo, do good damage, or even link into itself properly. But tell us again how the character doesn't matter.

Don't worry man I feel you. Cloud is strong, otherwise, as you pointed out, it wouldn't be used by top players. And I'm right there with you on the Shulk frustration, I main him but it's so goddamn hard to not call bullshit on some of his moves sometimes.

The character is OP tho...that made things easier for Leo cuz if Cloud didnt existed...his Marth would've lost.
