This was the best portrayal of omega red in cinema. I just find storm to be a little annoying when she uses her powers though. Which really sucks because I love storm and she’s an omega level mutant, she shouldn’t be getting bodied all the time.
@@miamimagicians biker mice from mars ... street sharks .... extreme dinosaurs ... and fox kids spider man we were spoiled back in the day for good children's tv
Colossus is a really great representation of a Russian character in media. He is strong, brave, loyal and very kind hearted. He should get more appreciation for his character especially with the many bad things happening with Russia today.
When I first saw this as a kid, I didn't really know anything about Omega Red. I don't think the episode even explained his death factor. So I was really wondering why they were all losing to him just cause he managed to grab them with his tentacles. Turns out he's really really dangerous.
This is "X-Men vs Omega Red." Omega Red should have some kind of appearance in the X-Men movies. Maybe he'll appear alongside Apocalypse and his creation, Mr. Sinister, and face off against Cable and the X-men, all while dealing with the Phoenix and the members of the Shiar, like Lilandra and Gladiator. I liked the part where Gladiator threw the Juggernaut across the globe. Maybe Juggernaut will make a reappearance too?
I think you have the wrong number... Or not, but not only did I have 2 comments, my first comment had several characters so you'd need to replace "it" with a proper noun. Until then, I highly doubt I'd want to determine what you implied with "highly doubt it."
0:27, I remember when I first watched this and I was thinking ‘Ooh, Omega Red, buddy, if Rogue sees what you’re doing to Gambit and Jubilee, she won’t like that.’ And I called it!!! Don’t mess with Rogue! Better yet, don’t mess with any of the X Men!
Retro Brothers Omega red, if I remember correctly, had around a 50 level body armor back in those days because of the Carbonium around him and a Health of around 130 -ish. So, doing the math, every Colossus hit would take off 25 health (75 strength - 50 armor), which comes to about 6 clean hits before Omega Red was toast (not counting any Stun). I personally think they overpowered Omega in this cartoon but it seems like they got the impact of Colossus' strength on his armor right.
It's unfortunately the same in the comics after he returned from the dead. Everyone would make this big deal about how strong Colossus was, but then he rarely, if ever, showed any feats to back it up. It's getting to the point where weaker characters are constantly doing more than him. So on paper, he's CL 100 (or 75, or whatever), but in practice? Weak punches all around
He lifted the sentinel off the ground in Astonishing X-Men. Colossus constantly proves he's a strong dude. I just wish the same. He's such a good character, and he can be developed so much more.
In the comics, Piotr would have stomped Omega Red. Lol, I always loved how this show used to buff random villains, and totally nerf other people for no reason.
Love this episode but they did Colossus wrong here. No way is Omega Red able to stand up to him. In the comics even as strong as Omega Red is he cant scratch Colossus.
This was one of the first episodes I ever watched and Omega Red is so badass he will forever be one of my favorite villains in comics Magneto the GOAT tho of all marvel villains to me
I don't see how they made Omega Red so overpowered. Colossus and Rouge are so much stronger I doubt his healing could keep up with the amount of damage they can easily do. Wolverine alone always gives him a good fight, and Psylock was whipping him pretty good one on one for a while.
I agree Rogue and colossus would stomp red without even trying, specially considering that both rogue and colossus are far stronger and durable than red, that's why he had to rely on his tentacles to drain their life energy. Wolverine on the other hand, he would get beaten by red, I mean, the guy has deadly spores that can poison wolvie, it does not matter if he has his healing factor, he would get poisoned either way. And in all honesty, I don't think psylocke would stand a chance against red
I love the realization that Storm can easily replace iceman (and I assume also pyro); controlling weather lets her infringe on a lot of other mutants powers
It's because Rogue needs bare skin contact to absorb a person's life force. So in that scene, since she was not touching Omega Red's bare skin, she could not absorb his powers. Whereas for Omega Red, he absorbs people's energies when his tentacles are wrapped round a person, without the need for direct skin contact. Also, the difference is that Rogue can absorb a mutant's powers and use it herself, whereas Omega Red cannot. He just takes the energy.
This is my favourite X men cartoon episode. Omega Red is too underrated. As far as I remember, he only appears on 2 arc (about 4 episodes). Are there any other Omega Red appearances on the Marvel cartoon?
I'm just thinking, isn't making it cold AF going to work on just about any enemy short of a guy like Iceman? Not many guys do well in a fight if you turn them into a popsicle.
What episode is this? Anyone? I've been looking for the one where he broke into that old Soviet gulag to look for his folks or whatever and he smashed up some tanks.
