Although I love ColourPop, I do think they need to slow down. The fact that we are able to compare pallets by the same company and not even a year apart is saying a lot. As for this pallet, I feel the gold was well represented in the Honey pallet as well as the California pallet. I know they are trying to stay ahead of the game but in my opinion they are the game. The pallets are great, love the lip products, and most of all it is all affordable. The weekly to bi weekly releases are overwhelming to the point I had to take them off of my IG.
Was pretty heart broken when the I saw during the weekend sale that I think I Love You is gone; it is my favorite palette of all time and I throw out my eyeshadows every six months or so, so I'm so bummed! The shades were gorgeous and the formula perfection. But yeah, I've come to realize that anytime any color is discontinued that means something else is coming out that's a dupe.

I decided some years ago after constantly getting styes that being a contact wearer and a public transportation rider made for an especially good breeding ground for germs on my makeup. It was a hygienic decision to throw away my 2-3 palettes every 6 months and starting fresh with my mascara and eyeliner as well. Bidding you a good night and no need for further exchanges.

I have been very into gold eyeshadows lately. But... I don't need 12 golden eyeshadows. Beautiful palette. Going to admire it from afar. Hate palettes with glitters in them. I bought the Sweet Talk palette. Never use the glitters. Regret getting it for that reason. So from now on I won't be getting palettes with glitters in them. Loved your look!
I just noticed that Colourpop discontinued Good Sport and seeing Trooper here made me a bit sad 😂 The palette is pretty but I really liked colourful holiday release of last year (again, discontinued 🤣 Colourpop is on the hunt for my favourite palettes, I swear) so this one just isn't up my alley. I'd be waiting for next holiday releases though, I'm convinced it's not the only one. Also, Mesmer-eyez in Through My Eyes (and probably Flecks, but I don't really remember the right shade name) also have squishy and kinda creamy texture to them, maybe they decided to explore the formula a bit more? Was so excited for this collection!! Its the perfect companion palette to the Cali Love and Sweet Talk palettes. Ordered the palette and the liquid liner in gold rush.

Very pretty collection and the red lipstick looked great on you. I still dislike the pressed glitters but I'm just a squeaky wheeel in the universe of people who love washing glitter down the drain. I was interested in the metallic liners until I read the ingredients and realized there was micro plastic glitter in it too. I was going to pick up the owl palette but I scored one of the last remaining "I think I love you" palettes in September, so I decided to pass on it for myself but got one for a friend for gift exchange.
Thank you for doing the comparisons with swatches!! Seeing it next to I think I love you makes me wish I had a chance to get it 😭 I found CP after it was discontinued but I love that it was similar without the glitters and it had some coppery/bronze tones with it. Very dumb idea to discontinue that one.
Last years holiday collection was definitely not very holiday but at least the colors made it interesting. This year is somewhat holiday(I still cant get past the butterfly theme for winter)but its boring. Easy pass for me.

What do you think?? I own the CA love palette, the night owl palette and the urban decay naked honey palette and when I saw this palette it reminded me of those. At first I won’t buy the collection but it was on sale. So I changed my mind. I put the palette and eyeliner to my cart. It resembles to some other palettes but still very beautiful.(and cheap.)
The shade Trooper is in the Good Sport palette, and also available as a single now. I hope they release Au Team as a single. I don't need the other shades.
Waited all day for your thoughts, because I ALSO have been so confused as to what any of these shadows actually were or weren't! I think Au Team IS the new foiled formula as the site said/some other people have mentioned in the comments, but it'd be great if Colourpop's site or official swatch party vid had explained it more (or at all). Ever since Colourpop started updating the look of their site, I've noticed that their product descriptions have gotten dicier. The palette info used to describe each shade along with the finish, but now they don't even state if something is a metallic or a glitter. I just wanna stay informed. Thanks for always doing your best to provide that kind of info. I appreciate it SO much!
good as gold is literally just the newer version of i think i love you palette. they don't sell i think i love you anymore, so i guess i might get this one and toss out my old i think i love you, but it still works so hmm
You definitely have a point there, about the confusion regarding the nature/formula (and safety) of those shades. Could they be the "brand new foiled finish" they mention in the descriptive little text on their website for this palette? Anyways. Great video, as always! And you do look absolutely wonderful:-)

I think the word you ( may) have been looking for is "meh"...he he. 😄 I remember the rainbow one last year took a while to sell on the site...maybe thats why they have "trimmed the fat" ( so to speak). Reminds me of "I think I love you' as well AND the OG BH cosmetics "Gilded" palette - that was my fav gold palette of all time until I gave it away! 😭😕💃
I’m conflicted 😫 I’m always drawn to those rich, metallic bronzes and golds, but I want a cool/neutral leaning palette. Mostly, I just want a single of the shade on your eyes 😍😅😅 And I’m feeling confused about the glitter. 🤔
I LOVED last year's holiday collection. This one does nothing for me. The only thing I'd consider getting is the red lux lipstick if it becomes available seperately.
Ive noticed that on several of the swatch pics for any of their palettes with pressed glitters, the asterisk says "pressed pigment" in the photo and doesn't mention glitter specifically. I think it's on all the palette listings I've checked recently actually, so I am sure that's just a repeated typo.
What blush are you wearing it looks so great! I actually am really into this palette lol but I actually only have about 4 CP palettes total. For some reason these recent releases have really been speaking to me.

I think this palette is very pretty.. I'm not sure if I'll order or not. I'm feeling kind of salty towards Colourpop right now. I ordered the night owl palette on the first day of the sale. It took FOREVER to ship. I finally got my package.. oops.. wrong palette! It was the pink one with three glitters in the middle. I contacted them. I got a coupon for eight dollars and some change, that expires! No shipping and handling were included in my (refund coupon) I'm not very happy. I didn't want the pink palette. I think the entire purchase should have been a refund. Plus... Someone else obviously got my night owl. Not cool colourpop! I'll probably use my coupon and take a break from them.
For the first time ever I want to try lashes and is only because these look a little more natural and because I like everything else too I decided to get the whole collection, but because I forgot about it coming out today now until now, as of 8pm, the collection bundle is sold out!! 😩
I have golds I love. But I'm not really a gold person. I'm not hunting for the perfect gold shadow. I wore a gold look today and had a hard time finding an outfit that I could wear with it. If someone gave it to me I'd probably be happy, but I don't feel the need to buy it.
This palette seems like the logical extension of the monochromatic 9 pan collection -- monochromatic fancy edition. I'm so burned out from the barrage of releases this fall that they could have released something that did my makeup as I slept, folded my laundry, and made me coffee, and I'd still be kind of meh. They need to slow their roll, esp with the endless warm toned palettes that make up the non-monochromatic releases. Just...yawn-worthy at this point.
i think i have two eyeshadow that's pretty squishy and it's very foiled, seem to be close to the au team texture. not super shock. but also can't remember which on right now. 😅
Correct pronunciation of Au in this context would be either A U, gold, or “oh”...not ahh. Gold has the symbol Au in the periodic table, hence “A U” or gold. Also the french word Au, meaning “to the” is pronounced “oh” (as in au contraire).
Just curious, do you not wear eyeliner because it doesn’t do anything for you or is there an eye safety concern like with glitter? No shade at all either way, I completely respect your choices, I was just wondering if there was a safety issue I should be aware of! Thanks for the great rundown as always!!
