The collective collectors gasp!- bar code doesn't bother me as much as the " WARNING! Capable of firing with magazine removed.Read instruction manual before use" stamped on some other makes, along with bar codes .
Fifty years from now-"what happened to this gun?". I understand your actions. I wonder how difficult to take the barrel down to four inches from 4.25. Small detail I know but I just like the looks of a four inch vintage Python with original style wood grips. New Python a little too homogenized.
I hope your share your final version. Watching you dremel the revolver was painful as it sounded, and it sounded like a visit to the dentist with the drill. Glad you shared you doing it and making your tools your own. My only recommendation is to disassemble to make it easier, but I'm sure you'll do that in your final video. I like all your videos.
Hey Mr. Benton, it's your gun, so you definitely have the right to do as you're pleased to it. Man, I don't know if I could have done it though. But I am not criticizing you for it.
@mr2275cur I have been following you for a while. I actually fixed a set of python grips using your method. I am on The hunt for a 4 inch 686 as we speak. That is the last ( for now lol) Smith I want. I was sad to see you are getting g rid of your Revolvers
@@TerryBenton Thank you. I've been watching a lot of your vids since yesterday. Love your collection and all of the videos. It's time for me to sell. I'm in my mid-60's now, and my life's priorities are changing.
Bar code doesn’t bug me too much, but still pretty cool to see what can be done in less than 20 min. Interested to see how this ends up after some more work
