Combo Breakdown: Enduring Renewal | MTG EDH Combo Explained | 

To clear a battlefield, you can pair enduring renewal with gravepact. With sac outlets. Yep ran and played with and against way back in time spiral block was in standard. Really daring myself with that statement.

Back in 1999 I went to a tournament with a red & white deck with Enduring Renewal + Goblin Bombardment + some Kobolds & Ornithopters. As a back up I had some Altars and Fireballs, just in case. I did win quite a lot of games, made it to the quarter finals. I won a prize for most bizarre deck, just because my deck included the kobolds. No one took my poor kobolds seriously.

I just bought a copy and that 0 mana kobold from commander legends goes so well with this card! Just pair him with one of the Orzov partners for white for the combo piece, enchantment search, and artifact/enchantment removal to hit hate pieces, and black for tutors and extra kill pieces! I'd run the partner that grabs creatures from the graveyard during your upkeep so that if you get your combo shut down while having enduring out you can still grab new creatures to start it up again. I think I'll pack the deck full of combos like Heliod + walking ballista/WB and Makenzie (did I spell that right, the black creature that pumps non humans and has + gives undying to non-humans) and there's probably a Cathar's Crusade combo that can be ran in Mardu I can try, etc. Then there's that new red pirate legend that gets cheaper w/ each sacrificed permanent on your turn and sacced while casting him. He could be a better red partner than the kobold depending on the number of combos that can be pulled off. He doesn't require enduring renewal to go infinite since he does so from the command zone with the help of physician altar or the Worm or an ashnod's altar with the artifact that let's you pay 2 generic mana to make a charge counter that can be spent on colored mana (it's basically a mana battery and I had the card in a deck using Braid of Fire to store its mana from the upkeep), man I keep forgetting card names sorry. But now with legends around the corner there are so many combos! Like holy crap the number of new commander combos is insane!
