My Mum and Godmother were buyers for Liberty when I was little (way back in the 70's) and I used to spend nearly every Saturday afternoon in the store. I still get goosebumps when I walk through the front doors to this day.
That liberty fabric 😍 so pretty! Thank you for the shoutout ❤❤ was so lovely to meet in person. And I loved hearing which of the patterns were your faves ❤️🧶
Sounds like THE perfect day out Sally! Hopefully I will get to London to visit the liberty store one day…looks divine. Would love to hear the exercises you learnt, I suffer from sewing pains myself. 😂
Thank you for taking us all with you on your day in London. It was such a lovely vlog and I look forward to seeing the top you make with that oh so pretty Liberty fabric and also some future Rowan knits
Just my type of day. I really enjoyed seeing all the places that you visited. I love Liberty and love Covent Garden. I also love your cardigan whenever I see it. I can’t knit!! What a super trip Sally and you made the video so interesting. Thank you so much for sharing it with us 💕
Thanks for sharing your lovely day with us Sally. How lucky are you. Love Moda yarns and patterns I think they have something for everyone. Also spotted Lizzie from Hive knits and Laura from Laura Penrose who I also follow. I knit almost every day so am looking forward to Moda’s new look book. You did a great job of sharing your fun day out. Happy belated birthday to your husband too!
Love the cardigan you had on in London. I’m with you on loving Liberty. Last time I visited the store with one of my daughters, we were in there. 4 hours.
I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog Sally. It was really interesting. I'm keen to see Rowan's new patterns when they launch as I'm not a good knitter but some of those patterns you showed inspired me and maybe I could manage them. Also I can't wait for the launch Craft Psychology book - so thanks for letting us know about it. And as for Liberty, what can I say! So glad you had a good day x
Thank you so much for watching I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was really impressed with the range of patterns and if you are a beginner their patterns are often knit flat which I think is easier when you’re learning (although some may disagree) 😊 I will be sure to keep you updated on it all xx
Thank you for sharing your trip and especially the yarn event. My older sister has suffered from depression her entire life. She is also an avid crafter. I have forwarded to her the info about the author and the psychology between/of(?) crafting and mental health. As always I really enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing these bits with us! I hardly ever go to London so it's really fun to see crafty places I haven't been, Liberty is on my list now 😁
What a wonderful day out! It’s refreshing and inspiring to see and explore new things about your craft. You continue to inspire me. The Liberty fabric is beautiful, and I look forward to seeing what you make of it. I’m curious, what did your husband do while you were in the Rowan event? I so appreciate when our husbands support us in something important to us.
Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoyed coming along! Well, he was going to walk around the zoo but then ended up working in the car! It was nice to go together rather than have to get the trains alone :) x
Thank you for sharing your day out. I wondered if you felt a bit overwhelmed being around strangers at the event as you are an introvert. I know that is often how I feel. Oh Liberty! Such lovely fabrics, but so pricey, not in my budget at all. The same goes for alpaca yarn unfortunately. The patterns from Rowan are beautiful as are all the yarns. Could you please share some of the hand yoga? Last week while sewing I had a painful cramp in my right hand. I really had to stretch my hand out to relieve the cramp.
I was very nervous about going and always feel really tired out after events like these but I also think they are good for me 😊 Yes I understand about budget I’m not sure I could justify 3-4 metres for a Liberty dress 😆
Hello Sally from New Zealand - love your video :) was just wondering if you know the name of the beautiful Liberty fabric that you bought ? Take care, Bernice :)
Such a wonderful day you had. I’m really interested in that book. Also wondering - what did your husband do while you were at Rowsn - or did he go too?
Loved watching this vlog thank you Sally. I must admit last time I went to Liberty's I enjoyed trying to spot the most expensive fabric 👀 Loved what you chose. Those yarns look lush. What a lovely event to be a part of. I really want to learn to knit. Does anyone know of any good youtube resource (like Bella Coco is for crochet)?
