After just listening to Kathleen Battle, Branford Marsalis with the Boston Pops sing Ellington's masterpiece, I was delighted to hear Milton Suggs, respectful , articulate and quietly passionate rendition with pianist Pickens To hear it on Easter Sunday.was especially moving. People should not forget that despite Ellingtons sophistication and glamorous image, he was a deeply spiritual man.

A superb interpretation in Eb of on of Ellington's best compositions. being a pianist, I really enjoy the harmonic approach and use of chords Mr. Pickens is using. Great voice and this is one I really enjoy and appreciate.
