Yes! Thank you! I’ve been saying this for years. I hate when people say that they don’t care about politics, or talking about politics. That’s what politicians are hoping. They don’t want you to care about what they’re doing, which is basically stealing from you. Politics affects every aspect of our lives. I know people who say they’re not interested in politics, and now they’re complaining about everything falling apart. And, I’m like… duh.
Some people aren't smart to realize that politics affects everything. From your paycheck, to the food you eat, the house you live in, or maybe they just given up that they have control and don't realize through politics is how you get that power back.

Rick, thank you for calling it out for what it is, legalized bribery. I’ve been referring to lobbying and campaign donations from the wealthy and corporations as exactly that for years. I inevitably get people who argue that it’s not, so I’m really happy to see it here and I hope more people start calling out the dc slime for what they are.
Remove sodium and potassium benzoates from our food and consumer products. We don't need further exposure to benzene just to have products stay on the shelf a bit longer.

We're not supposed to talk about politics, religion, or salary for the same reason. Everyone's getting a different treatment and if we put our experiences all together we'll have proof it's all a scam.
Lobbyists once were specialists explaining complex issues to politicians. This idea lasted for about 34 milliseconds. From then on lobbyists are, wherever politicians can be presented with gifts to influence the political debate. Lobbyists are wellpaid *sshole* for the big corporations, who may accidently tell the truth, but are responsible for claims like lead in gasoline means no harm or there is no climatechange problem. We need lobbyists for being normal human beings. NOW!

I had a friend who I use to get together to watch fun goofy movies with. We decided to watch godzilla vs the smog monster. After the movie he complained he didn’t like the ham fisted ecological theme through out the movie. I pointed out that most sci fi movies especially monster movies basically mirror the The aches and pains of the time and or country it’s made in. For the societal fears. During the time The movie was made what is a heavy industrial age. And like Victorian England there was a lot of smog and health hazards. He said it still bugged him. I asked why. He said because he’s conservative. Which to me makes no since. Why would pointing out the wrongs of Society be offensive to any political group unless that groups main interst us to deny the existence of wrong doing.
I’m a great American. I have an almost monopolistic business. I have several tax loopholes that make me even wealthier. I can afford the best doctors. I care more about my vacation homes than my employees. I’m making America great.
Helps expensive now. BBQ went upscale. When tech shows up, there goes the neighborhood. Everything goes boutiquey with prices to match. No increase on quality though. In many instances, A decline as techs are people with money but no notable taste or discernment
Yet the host can’t do any better than to post videos of entertainers offers up shallow observations instead of discussing actual scholarship on the subject. This is intellectually lazy. Must see is reading the best research in the field not watching entertainers trying to be funny while offering nothing of substance. As progressives we can do better.
