You have to discard. You cant discard. Means you cant do the thing to then do the other thing. It is a step. If you cant do the step you cant continue. Thats like saying if you had to exile a creature then draw, you can draw because you have no creatures. The language is clear.

@@venchergaming That's not how that works. If it were exile target creature then draw, the ability wouldn't work without a target. Windgrace doesn't target, so you can use the ability and draw even if nothing is discarded.

That's going to effectively be a "play with mostly older cards" restriction, since the longer a card has been around the more likely it's been reprinted. If it were only cards that weren't ever reprinted it might be more interesting, it should be a smaller card pool with probably more unique effects.

It does. This interaction was explained in the Dominaria Mechanics article on Wizards' site. He should have gotten both Chapter 1 and 2 triggers.

He just misplayed, put the aura on Gnarlid and didn't realize that the Aura will prevent it from being doubled by the colossus. Also sometimes it is better to leave the most threating players to kill each other (especially if it is hard to attack you). If he had taken out either Justin or John the other one would probably have enough resources to outvalue and/or kill him. However, because he didn't Justin punched John with Rude Awakening and John punched back for a lot and played the Chaos Warp that could have been used to kill the Sphere of Safety otherwise.

I agree. he obviously misplayed or just didn't see the combo working as better as it should have worked.

I personally never liked them because of how they shorten the videos and all the effects and stuff get annoying after a while Mtgmuddstah is better for speedy edh gameplay but star city is best for interactive edh games imo

Gameknights for production- which is what makes it so enjoyable for me. Because of that, videos dont come up as often as one would want and I understand your dismay at plug-in sponsors in the middle of a video but you seem to not understand that the games are but a mini segment in their channel's agenda. They do other things and probably keep the content going for a living. Muddstah for fast gameplay- Weekly uploads and fast editing makes the games cut out what may be hours of chatter and just cuts to the point. Great content when all you want is what happens at the table with no time a waste. SCG for chibi animals and raw footage- recently found out out this channel. Love the gameplay and commentary! With it being primarily raw gameplay with a real game's run time it can drag on and if one doesn't have the full time to dedicate to the full length it is a bit troublesome but this is what I expect from an edh game!

GK just plugs every ad for mtg under the sun. Star city games I like watching because I like how they just goof around in general. Muddstah is the best channel for good fast games.

Titania plus obliterate is also pretty solid

@@PortestdorFlamvoldt It is, but I feel anything more than a Strip Mine, Wasteland, and Ghost Quarter for land destruction is a bit too mean. Because even if you get out an Azusa and Oracle with a strip mine and nuke at least 3-4 lands a turn, they can deal with it. But I do still like where your head is at.

@@Speetlebeetle so i dont MLD to durdle the game. The point of titania obliterate is that it wipes the board, removes my opponants ability to counterplay and floods my board with a bajillion 5/3's. The goal is to win on the spot, not cruelly restart the game and draw it out forever.

I have an animatou deck that focuses on her plus rather than her minus and had fantastic results. Kinda like a singleton version of legacy miracles pre top ban, so every non-red/green miracle, top, counterbalance, top-of-deck tutors like vamp/mystical/OG liliana, then stuff that lets me cheat top of deck into play like djinn of wishes, and a bit of flicker tech to make huge value but not loads of slots dedicated to it

I kinda split the difference between the + and the -. Lots of great etb stuff, mostly for cardadvantage, but also all the miracles worth playing and stuff like Yannett that interacts with the top.
