One of the best games ever made. I wish they'd make tactical shooters like this today. I'm a huge fan of the equipment and weapon selection before the missions.

Has Rimmy ever looked at "Medal of Honour: Frontline"? That's another surprisingly fun shooter from the early 2000's. I originally had a PS2 copy, but couple years ago I played it again and found it as entertaining as ever.

Honestly it was nice to see you play this and I think I speak for most and that is you should definitely play through the rest of it especially cause it was nice to see your own enjoyment of the game

Oh god, I totally forgot this game existed until I saw this. I remember there's a level in Africa where I used to crawl about an hour across the map so I didn't get seen by a specific German tank crew who were taking a break outside their panzer 3, then nick their panzer 3 out from under them and proceed with the least stealthy hostage rescue in history haha

Stolen uniforms only work as disguise if you don't carry any obvious Allied equipment. If you had ditched the DeLisle and the Allied backpack, you could've walked past the German soldiers, for a while. That's what the third bar on the portraits is for, and will drain as you pass through an enemy's sight, which presumably means they realize they never saw your face around here before. I remember playing this game in multiplayer as a kid. In one match, some guy in American uniform ran up to my position, dropped all the weapons and spammed "Cease firing!". I figured what the hell and let him live. Then one guy on my team in a military electrician's work uniform ran by and sent him back to the Allied spawn point. 10/10 Immersion.

You should give the Conflict series a try, I only ever played the first game: Desert Storm but I remember it being rather good fun. Commandos 2 is also great but I remember it being very hard for a young me.

This is a gem this was my childhood and this is till now my reference for any game tactical game I find , and because I played this game I find new games disapointing , no game is even close to the freedom of completing missions the sandbox feeling. and how smart the AI. I found arma but arma was clungy.

I haven't played this game in forever but it's still one of my favorite games of all time!

H&D2, for all its jank and silliness, is genuinely good fun. The expansion is pretty solid too. Would love to see more of it. Fun fact: There's a tactical mode, which lets you control your team in quasi-real time tactics type deal. Granted, you'd be at the mercy of the AI and all its oddities, but it's neat that something like it was included.

This was actually the first shooter that me and my friends played. But we were young and couldn't get our parents to buy us ego shooters. So we played the MP demo of this game which only had 2 maps. And we sunk hundreds of hours into it. God those were the times

God H&D2... I love that game to bits. Such a great WW2 game. Spent a good chunk of my childhood playing it. The stealth was pretty basic but wandering about the map in a german uniform stealth killing enemy one by one and darting from cover to cover so they don't realize I'm not one of them? Priceless.

FUCKING YES RIMMY! This game was a great part of my childhood, i remember clearly sneaking around with a squad equipped only with De Lisle or a suppressed Sten, trying to get the germans to surrender and take their uniforms, it was so much fun! Btw, when you enter the African mission where you have to take an airfield, the document objective is bugged, the way to get around that issue, is to clear the map from enemies, then save the game at the tents, reload the save until the document spawn there.

Did you know: that same people who made H&D 1,2 are those people who made Mafia 1 and 2?

I loved my playthrough of Hidden and Dangerous 2. In the german bunker mission you can get the Uniform early and sneak the whole level. Also there is a birds eye view Rts Style Controll were you can synch the actions of your team so you can split them up. Would love to see some more of it. If you can get a hang of the controlls its actually a pretty god game for its age.

Hidden and dangerous was a gem for its time, and I’m truely shocked you never played it until now considering your gaming habits. Glad you got around to it, though, albeit now the game’s old enough to drink.

When I was a kid I was in a Day of Defeat clan, when it was a mod not a game. I was the ping king,my dial up internet was awful but one of my clan mates, Droog, had some turbo sci-fi ADSL and burned some demos onto a CD and posted it to me, including Hidden and Dangerous 2. It was the jankiest, most infuriating crash happy mess I ever played and I loved every minute

Oh wow,.. I remember playing the first game, i was too young to fully grasp it at first but got the hang of it at some point and loved it. Then H&D2 came out and i was sooo looking forward to play it, ordered it and i remember until today the package unexpectedly came right on my birthday. Best - Gift - Ever. Edit: When you get pumped so much by the jeeps - wait until you hijack a tank or a SPAA :D

Couldn't remember what this game was called and thought I'd never hear of it again. Nice to see someone playing it again.

Back when this came out my friends and I added in some modded levels that others made to play coop with, added extra weapons mods, reskinned some of the civilian vehicles ourselves, and more. Coop is amazing (especially with maps with extra enemies), but honestly so is multiplayer skirmish! Especially on the village map or Italian bridge maps you will encounter later.

this is one of my all-time favorite games. I used to play it all the time as a kid. It has it's jank but at the time it felt way ahead of other games. It even has shooting through solid objects like doors implemented which I don't think became the norm until the call of duty franchise.
