Retention of poorly performing employees is a key issue in the industry. People are allowed to remain after multiple violations of company policy. People don’t seem to care if they give you 10 minutes warning. Not my problem or responsibility to ensure the shift is filled. No Call No Shows are also an issue. The Officers who do show become jaded, often wondering if they are going to make home in time to see their family members and partners. The trickle down effects of one bad apple really bring down positivity on site.
