This is from the first week of October 2020. I recorded this after sending my 2 week notice to the client manager who I thought was my friend. After 3 months of this video being up he called me and cussed me out aggressively telling me to take it down. I complied but later I find out the client manager lied to the VEC (Virginia Employment Commission) about my reasons for leaving the company. When filing for unemployment I am ineligible because I quit because I live in my van and wanted o move. Please let me know if there is any way to fight this

“The easiest job i ever had but the worst job i ever had” Perfect quote for working for this company. Glad you got out. I am about too. It’s only a matter of time before this company crumbles apart.

I will take my $1100 to $1500 weekly pay after taxes beats what a lot of other jobs are paying. I am lame no wife, girlfriend or kids so I will work show me the money.

Rule #1 of security is don't be fooled into a promotion to supervisor. A few more dollars an hour can be great but you are responsible for covering all of the unattended shifts. People love to call off. I've had to work 80 hour weeks before, which is illegal. When things go south, you are blamed for things you are not responsible for.

I was a Site Supervisor for Allied. This guy is totally right. Under staffed is an understatement! Then they expect the supervisor to cover the shift. Allied is the worst place to work!

Just walked away from Allied myself as an Operation Manager. They had me managing 38 plus site and over 300 Security Professional, with just 13 Site Supervisor and I was considering the Site Supervisor for the other sites. 70% of which had the same issue and site conditions. They were underpaid as well as extremely over worked. My district was short 250 plus Officers. Best of luck to you

Securitas was doing the exact same stuff. Management was terrible and easily threw us under the bus for literally everything.

Depending on the site, the city/state and the rate of pay. ANY job can be hell. I currently work for allied and my job is sweet....It's unfortunate that this has happened to you and hope that you've moved on to do what you love and are much happier now

They don’t keep their promises, flat out lie at times. Don’t care about their employees or supervisors. I was a supervisor for them, threw me to the wolves just to kiss the feet of a former client. Then wonder why they have such a high turnover rate. The guys who screw the pooch on contracts get promoted, the guys who work their tails off to rescue and recover contracts get used as fall guys

I got fired from the company and thay still owe me 27 hours of overtime to this day
@StratBurst92
Now retired after 27 years in private security. The last 13 was with Allied. Getting ready one day I got a call from Allied telling me I was no longer to work at that location, when I asked why they said they could not tell be. Never written up, worked plenty of double shifts, etc. When the client wants you gone for whatever reason they will always side with the client.

I'm happy with my AU job. Then again, I'm a lazy bastard who loves doing nothing. I sit in a parking lot all day in a security car wasting up gas I don't have to pay for! Most of my buddies bust their butts flipping burgers and make even less than I do.

It’s ‘easy’, but it takes a toll on your soul that I’m not willing to pay. Planning on getting out soon as well. Best of luck man.

This described every security company I've worked for since 1993. This is the nature of the business.

I just recently quit this company earlier this week, I'm in the New Jersey area. This is one of those companies who pretends to give a damn about their employees until they are tested. You can go above and beyond for them and they won't care, and management will treat you like your expendable because they have such a high turnover rate. Can't say I've ever had to deal with this type of situation in terms of location, but I had to deal with horrible management. My former boss literally threw me under the bus to save himself after I was lied on by an employee where I worked at. He tried to send me somewhere else with lesser pay in an even worst location. I gave it a week and immediately quit once I realized just how horrible the rumors about this company was. I have been working security for over 9 years now, and Allied Universal is definitely one of the worst security companies I have ever worked for. And I will say, quitting this job has had me feeling far less stressed than I've ever felt.

The 20/10/5 got me! You get 20 min break for lunch, a 10 and 5 min break (35 min for entire 8 hour shift. Then you must get permission to go on these breaks as well as to the bathroom and you cannot leave until next shift arrives or manager releases you. There needs to be a pay upgrade and treat people like adults and give adequate breaks. Wasn’t worth it for me.

It's common for American workers to provide their employers with two weeks' notice before quitting a job,
