As long as the cost of living is stable then the ability to live within my means is stable. Unfortunately, these days, it's more common for parents to teach kids to either dislike rich people or look down on those with less. Good parents are hard to find nowadays. But be careful, there's one thing that might be a problem. I learned to share from my dad too, but when I was younger, some so-called friends took advantage of me, both money-wise and emotionally. So, maybe you should also teach your children how to spot the difference between people who mean well and those who don't. Those they should share with and those they shouldn't.

Instead, you must provide something of value, and in exchange, you receive something that holds equal value for the other party involved. Success in this economic system depends on presenting something considered valuable enough that others are willing to pay the set price for it.

@@imhotep_lukata yeah. Marxs critique of capitalism is nearly without flaws. I really see no reason to oppose him, he's one of the greatest scholars of his century. As for Lenin, his writing is profound and he managed to build socialism in his lifetime. Obviously the ussr was not without issues, it was pretty bad, but for try one they did well. Future socialism can adjust based on their mistakes (overly centralized authority + lack of governmental checks, plus failures in land collectivization.) As for the authoritarianism and famine though, I don't think socialism can be blamed. In feudal russia famine was common, especially in times of war. Soviets take over and this continues. It would be odd to blame socialism if it existed before socialism. As for centralized authoritarianism, the tsars and put in both match the bill. Socialism as an economic system launched russia from a feudal starving uneducated hellscape to an industrial starving highly educated nation. They went from basically irrelevant to the second world superpower. Clearly, the economic system did wonders, and governmental failings mostly irrelevant to socialism were the issue.

My aunt wants everyone to come over and "be free". I told her I was going to come over to her house and take the doors off the hinges so people could come and go as they please. They used to carry little net "grocery bags" just in case they were in town and something, like toilet paper, was suddenly available. They wouldn't miss out by having to run home for their bag. You _had_ to supply your own bag.
I traveled in Poland and Romania during that time. If people saw there was a line forming, they automatically got in it & ask questions later. Of there was a line, it must be because something good was available! And the toilet paper was like thin, crumpled brown bags, but on a roll. And if you used the public bathrooms you paid an attendant to go in, and the attendant gave you a strip of toilet paper that was about a foot long. It was always smart to have some of your own in your pocket!

My friend grew up in communist Poland. The ruling party decreed that their three bedroom apartment was too big for them - grandma, mum and dad, and three girls. So the six of them shared two bedrooms and a strange couple were moved into the third room in their PRIVATE home. Imagine that - you can’t use your own bathroom right now because the government moved a stranger into your own home and they’re having a bath.
There is a horrible trash show that no one should ever watch by Orlando bloom and Cara Delevine called carnival row. In the second season the “bad guys” are essentially communists and they do exactly this and the main character supports their side. It’s the most propaganda trash show ever created.

In another communist county, my best friend's father inherited a house from the parents. In the early 50s the state confiscated it, they allowed him to rent a room. About 30 years later, he was allowed to buy back the house that originally belonged to him.

Actually communism is not about that. I grew up during communism and you had to work pretty hard to earn your living because communist famous slogan is : "Who doesn't work, doesn't eat." My school teacher used to repeat that a lot. So my parents had to work pretty hard in order to provide their family. Everything was pretty expensive, especially food. Concerning clothes, I used to wear my cousin's clothes even though she was 10 years older than me because my parents didn't have enough money for that. Once mom said she was so happy dad had to go to some wedding directly from work in his uniform because he didn't have any suit. Mom was wearing the same winter coat for many years. Both of my parents are very educated people, mom was a doctor and dad was an officer detective who actually worked also with Interpol in late 70s early 80s. Mom used to say that if we lived in America we would have had a big house and at least two cars but because we lived in a Soviet Union you had to steal in order to live normally. My parents remained poor because never took money from anyone... It seems that people in America have a little wrong idea about real communism.

I think the description you're looking for is _corruption._ Big money interests pay off congressmen and senators to get the country to move in the direction _they_ want. Trump talked about "draining the swamp" but didn't do any of that. He can't, it's too intricately wound throughout our government. Everyone's in on the take. No one leaves office broke either. Vivek is pointing it out but he has no solutions for it because there's nothing that can be done about it. Shining light and trying to hold people accountable is all that can honestly be done.

Florida, under direction of DeSantis, lied to a bunch of immigrants telling them they were signing up for a program for jobs, shelter, etc, when in reality all they did was throw them on a bus and ship them to a community in an entirely different state that had zero pre-established infrastructure to accommodate them (they basically just shipped them to a neighborhood). The residents of that neighborhood then reached into their own pockets to help the immigrants. But if you only listen to FoxNews or NewsMax I'm sure you'd think that the people using their own funds were the bad guys, give me a break.

I have a family member who's socialist and made well over 100k a year. I asked them why they always go on lavish vacations when they could be donating to BLM and all the other minority groups since they keep screaming about socialism. They just kinda stared at me and didnt ever answer.
I would recommend not to encourage people to donate to BLM. There are far better, less corrupt causes. Where do you think the money has already gone? definitely not towards black people

The reason communism failed is because of greed and the people and land being cheated and stripped of resources by their leader. People act like the people at the top aren't eating lobster for breakfast everyday and staying in mansions and setting people's land on fire and then buying it up for cheap.
I have relatives that escaped communist Romania. I got to hear first-hand what communism was like. I think if these young people (AOC, are you listening) actually had to go live in a country like that, they'd kiss the ground and thank God every day they live in a capitalist society.
It wasn't as bad as people actually say it was. People weren't rich but weren't poor too. Everyone had an apartment or house to live in, a car and money to go on family vacation once or twice a year. Health care was free and of good quality. There were next to none crimes because the police was doing their work. The education was free too and of high standards. There were shortcomings where you have to mind what you say but nobody will bother you if you mind your own business and the lack of products from outside the soviet union. It wasn't perfect but after more than 30 years of democracy, the life isn't any better. I may even say that now it's even harder

My high school history teacher explained the difference between communism and capitalism and he put it this way. In capitalism every one has an equal right to pursue wealth. In communism everyone has the equal right to pursue poverty.

I remember when I was in highschool (talking 90's here my friends), my history teacher was always going into tirades about how the commies are still coming and they'll get us. Mostly blowhard stuff leftover from the cold war. But then one day he said something that stuck with me though I didn't think I could ever see that happening, he said, "They told us they'd get us through our children. And our children's children." Communism is the cheatcode for living rich life While Capitalism gives money to 5% of the people and the other 95% are surviving During Comunism the whole society is living like a Secret society mechanism For example if 1000 professional people make a secret sociaty today with 1000 different professions and businesses if you are part of this secret sociaty the only thing u need buy something is your “ work “ no “ paper money “ That way when money comes from outside sociaty like other people that are not part of the secret sociaty they use money and YOU do not spend it because u are in a secret sociaty that everyone is willing to help u for free that way u accumulate a lot of money saving without ever going to spend it So Communism needs to take money from different countries with their exporting of goods and needs and that money are actually not needed because everyone is working for free Free education Free health care Free from a lot of stuff that today if you have it u will be like millionaire If u check during Communism there is a raise of population ??? WHY. because its paradise where everyone is thinking only who to sleep with outside of work time 😅 Chinese are overpopulated because they are comunnism for many many many years they are happy with it and that’s good they have higher consciousness of how to live like a society Capitalism on the other hand allows for some people 1-5% to gain unlimited money glitch and use those money to manipulate and tule the others For example when Covid hit everybody knew its BS and it is not important BUT because you depend on the “ pay check “ u cannot leave work and you are ruled to put on faky vaccines so u keep feeding your family. During communism when Chernobil hit - they didnt tell people so there is NO STRESS and NO PANIC thats the point thinking about people mental health because most of the times if you give up mentally the illness will kill you for sure even if its not there So i hope u learn something and rise your consciousness and understand that society can work only like cells in human body putting there work to help the other “ for free “ 😮
To be rich requires having a disparity of wealth over others. If everyone had $10 million in the bank we would all be poor as the cost of everything would grow to match.
It seems that there may have been some misunderstanding as to what I was going for with my comment. Allow me to clarify. The students at many colleges tend to be left leaning and view communism as a better way to run America. By having Yakiov Smirnoff perform at these colleges , perhaps he could expose the dangers of Marxist ideology and do so in an entertaining fashion.

I gave 5 dollars each to 2 separate people on the streets today. I'm living paycheck to paycheck but they seemed to need it more than me. And I also get the feeling that, in the long run, the universe pays dividends for those that have empathy towards their fellow human beings. It probably applies to societies as well. A cruel, unfeeling society will not long stand.
@@counterflow5719 its life experience , i used to work in a mission in Phoenix AZ , 2 years full time. I will tell you a good percentage of homeless (especially the beggars) are scammers.
