@@lapatron555yeah but it wasn't in an official race. he had literally the perfect conditions for that run. normally you wouldn't have a team of dedicated pacers and everything set up just for you. i'm not downplaying his amazing achievement but it's just not the same thing
Incredible. It wasn't really all that long ago that you were to only one running this category and look how popular it's become. It's nice to see you always on top. You deserve it. Mad respect for the grind fr
Habooo please I love watching speedruns from the best. Please just post more. Maybe even random speedruns. Even if you don’t plan for it your mechanics are unmatched and would love to see it
I love how he's like yeah my gold splits are probably the best out of everyone if you wanna see our lowest theoretical perfection then lowers it another 5 minutes to flex
I believe it’s a quest for the wizard to get friendship up. (The wizards gifts are an important part in the speed run, so any time saving friendship you can get is welcomed.)
I’m confused why do tree just fall down sometimes when he leaves his house? Is it because there’s two many other things like trees or rocks in the way?
i asked this on an older run but figure youre more likely to see it here, what script do you use for animation canceling? i find mine to be rather inconsistent.
Haboo, I would love to see you apply your planning and brain skills to StarCraft II or a similar game. I love watching how you put everything together.
@@jelena_r Thanks! I thought so, default binds for that on PC are a nightmare!! Right-shift + Del + R!!!! You can download a program to rebind it though.
If you hold down the action button you don't need to click on each individual preserves jar. This works for most actions in the game involving processing machines as well as harvesting and planting crops, placing down flooring, etc. Sometimes it won't register and you'll have to walk back over it again, though. I'm not sure why this is, but I suspect it might have something to do with where precisely the mouse is on the screen, since by moving the mouse over the tile you're trying to interact with generally forces it to work even though it doesn't always need to be when using this method.
Some of the bundles in the community center can be different. Like, there's a bundle that requires you to get 500 sap, one for flowers, fisher farming, brewing, etc...
Based on the vibes of this run, I think a few hollow knight songs would work in the playlist Queen's Gardens (lively but relaxed) Fog Canyon (same) Greenpath Maybe Dung Defender (ofc way higher energy so probably not but it's so fun) Not to be That Guy who won't shut up about HK lol, i just think the soundtrack is great and people sleep on the area music, especially the queens gardens. Those songs especially are intended to feel good for exploring and doing your own thing, they're background songs to set the tone, so yeah Edit: I've never heard other people play *I was the sun before it was cool* or *8-bit adventure* before and it was wild to hear songs I think of as super niche SoundCloud stuff
By moving the tv and bed closer to the door, he can get out the door faster and into bed at the end of a day faster (on days he doesn't intentionally pass out). The tv and other relevant objects being right next to the bed serves the same purpose of saving time. Less space needed to move = more time saved.
If you mean his tool use speed, it's called animation cancelling. It's where you press a certain button combination during an animation to cancel it early so you can perform another action sooner. The difference between glitchless and vanilla categories in this game is that in glitchless, animation cancelling (or AC) is allowed, and in vanilla it isn't allowed. The longer the run, the more time AC saves over the course of it, which is why glitchless is a more popular category, since it doesn't significantly change routing and it doesn't affect rng, so it's basically the same run but with speeding up some of the more tedious parts, like chopping wood.
The clock time in game pauses in single player when any menu is open, including the elevator menu, so when resetting a floor fast enough using the elevator to check for anything, time essentially stands still. It's not a mod, it's just how the game functions.
enjoyed this video until the around 13:30 when a viewer asks about reviving a dead run. the answer was obvious to anyone who is familiar with speed running and the terminology. But I think the way you explained it to this viewer, who just as obviously must not know as much as you about the subject, was so condescending that i clicked off. you should really try being nicer.
His reply wasn't condescending. How would you expect someone to answer such a question? He answered it clearly in no uncertain terms. It could be said that you're being condescending for calling him condescending when he wasn't being that in the slightest. If he were to beat around the bush and go on a tangent to emphasize that it were a "stupid" question, then that would have been condescending, but that's not what he did. If a run is dead then by definition it cannot be revived, and that's exactly what he explained very clearly. It isn't some bad tv writing where a patient dies and gets shocked back to life. If a run can still be saved, then it's not a dead run. Explicitly stating so is no more condescending than saying "The reason we grow X crop for money is because Y crop isn't as profitable in the game, no matter how much better it is irl" (in this example, a clear reason is given, while conceding that Y crop has its merits in another arena).
