Segmented runs are a thing! Runs with allowed breaks are a thing! We really should normalize more long runs allowing chunked progress and not requiring people to destroy their health for a "legit" RTA time. The rules on SRC are what the SRC page's mods decide. If perfection is made a category, I'd argue to allow splitting it into segments, and I guess require streaming live to combat people trying to stitch out day resets.

Yeah, for real - a 24-hour (ish) RTA is way more interesting.

Dude I can barely plan to get bundles done by year 4 because I always get distracted by something and realize on the last day of the month that I blew all my rainy days in the damn mines and missed all the rainy fish. I could literally never do this

Yeah I loved the vid as is but I'm dying to know how he got so many staircases and bombs in the first place. I barely have enough rocks for 5 staircases, not 50, and that stuff is too expensive to buy from the store ($ 2,000 per each) unless I'm missing something

The only question that matters is: Did you have fun? For some people, speedrunning is fun, for some people planning everything out is fun. Ultimately, it doesn't matter, because it's not that reaching perfection brings you fun, it's that having fun makes the game perfect.

I love TheHaboo and watch his speed runs all the time. I am, however, not super chill with the clickbait title. It wasn't in a day. It was in 28 gaming hours spread over multiple days. Is that really cool and impressive and not something I could do? Heck yes. But saying he did something in a day when there's no part of this that happened in a day is pretty disingenuous and that makes me sad because TheHaboo is such an amazing speedrunner and did something really cool here. Someone being upset with false advertising isn't being jealous. It's wanting the really cool thing TheHaboo did here appreciated for what it is not to be bait and switched. The assumption that people are "simply envious" when they are told one thing and given another shows a pretty shallow understanding of why folks would be upset and the psychology of why clickbait titles upset and/or disappoint folks.

If there's a floor tile down, no rocks or debris can spawn. It prevents you from having to clean up your farm everytime a season changes
