Correction: ALL companions are optional. Some are simply more difficult to recruit than others.

I played around with the order in which we recruit first four of our companions to find out how they react to each other. Including leaving Shadowheart by the Nautiloid, and coming back for her with Gale, Astarion and Lae'zel to find out what they think about her, which I've never done before.

Truth be told, t's not that difficult to miss him. All it takes is turning right inside the wreckage of the Nautiloid immediately after fighting the brains, and emerging near Gale . Can you recruit Astarion later somewhere else? Thanks for the like, btw :)

Karlach has a very funny reaction to recruiting Gale, but that's as much as I know, unfortunately.

@@leafandgames looks cool. I am always very hesitant when it comes to mods, because I am afraid I f* up the game, causing crashes and whatnot...

@@dunngyllite7883 Fortunately, I didn't have a single problem with mods, despite the game warning me every time I launch it. Not even a visual glitch. Of course everytime the game updates there's a risk.
