I have played almost all of these, there is a local Geeks Mania arcade that has almost all of these arcade machines too, pod racer, 2-3 arcade versions of Star Wars, and the pod lots of kids constantly use because you go inside and the big screen that wraps around you is super cool. There is even a little fan that spins up and blows wind on your face when you are flying really fast, and the surround sound in there is super immersive. Definitely one of my favorites.
way better the original one, aesthetically the stylization is an interpretation of reality, the "realistic" 3d is a failed attempt to emulate the reality and sadly reveal the fakeness
Back in the Late 90s as an Electronic engineer i worked for SEGA Arcade engineer i was blown away with Star Wars arcade game in London and i got to play it for free as i had the keys to enable free play which i did a lot including VR Racing and SEGA Rally which was my favorite arr back in the day
ATARI Star Wars arcade game 1983 is one of the few arcade games that does not let you continue / add new life by adding more coins in. Once your shield was gone - that was it - which meant you had to be as close to playing flawlessly as possible.
I just wanted to point about Lego Hagrid using his umbrella "instead" of a wand, his umbrella literally IS his wand xD Hell, he even uses it in the very first story when he curses Dudley with a pig's tail.
Man I had no idea about the Xbox versions existence until today, I played the PC and PS2 versions growing up. I agree about the colors & aesthetics but I think the textures and characters look overall better on PS2/PC.
Is there a specific reason this video isn't included in the Harry Potter playlist, or did you just forget? xD I was watching through the playlist and was so confused why this one wasn't in there.
I played the original on my colecovision as a child. I never cared for it back then. I revisited a bit when I was older. The late 90s version is my fave.
I for one loved all the changes. Characters are more fleshed out, there's more time with the party interacting and the game is a great remake in my opinion. Take it from someone that got their faithful remake (brilliant diamond and shining pearl) recreating it 1:1 would have been worse than what they did here.
1983 best because arcades were magical places at the time Arcades died by the 90s and now everything is just an online toilet Galloping Ghost Arcade in Chicago = Best
This is why the pc port NEEDS to be top priority if you are making a game. Otherwise you're basically putting a time limit on how long people can enjoy your work.
TBH, by 98, we had Xwing Alliance, which just killed all the arcade stuff, and threw it in the bin. And with the new Tie Fighter Total Conversion in VR. Holy shit!!!!! Check it out on here.
