This channel is dedicated to sharing a myriad of creative tidbits & information, new ideas and maybe some different twists on old ones about junk journaling, altered books, glue books, watercolor, and all kinds of other paper crafts related to those things. It’s geared for new junk journalers, but everyone’s welcome to play along. So, please: pull up a seat, find something delicious to drink and let’s hangout for a bit.

Wonderful to know you and little Bitsy are enjoying the outdoor life and have made a new friend too 🐿️ your composition book is looking great. When you were talki I just had a little thought, you have traveled back in time and bump into Edith, you are both nature journaling, but can you imagine her disbelief when you show her the bird app. I wonder what surprises she may have for you ? 💜

It has been so nice, though holy cats this summer has been SO hot, we can only get out there early in the morning or in the evenings as the sun goes down, lol. I'm amazed how many different birds there are here, in my own backyard, Hahhah. 🤓

Hey there Ker! 💜💚🖤Looooving this nature comp book so much. The combination of notes, sketches, photos and magazine images is wonderful. Cheeky McNotShy omg toooooo cute. I’m so surprised that he didn’t even mind all the cayenne pepper - that’s one determined chippy! It’s amazing all the antics we see outside in nature when we take a moment to pay attention isn’t it? Always good to get out of our own heads for a bit and just get lost in the outside world. (a mini vacation for our brains!) Bitsy looks like she is quite enjoying her time outside as well. She must have looked so cute with her lion’s mane, I can just imagine. 😍This was great fun, and really inspiring me to get back to my nature journaling. Sending lots of love and hugs to you and Bitsy from Sophia and I! 🐶💕🌊✨

I miss your nature walks plus journaling too 🐿🐸🦉🐛 I hope you can get back to your forest time soon! YES!!! Mini vaca for our brains, exactly!!! IF we pay attention, that's so key, hahhahha. Just take a few minutes and BE and watch and enjoy. Does wonders for the spirit. Cheeky doesn't seem to mind the heat at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure the HOT seeds and PB went faster than the regular stuff. I was secretly wishing the pine squirrel bandits a raging case of flaming diarrhea (they haven't been back, so the HOT seeds and cayenne peanut butter worked on some level 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼) Hugs n love to you and the sweet Sophia!!💜🖤💚

It's been SO fun, really liking it. Nothin' crazy like your cicadas summer to record in my journal (I'm happy to say, lol) A couple years ago we had yellow jackets so bad I hardly left the house (I'm allergic). But that's been about the only "apocalyptic"event, hahhahha 😳

Great book! I’m always so amazed when I sit out on my patio and before I know it all kinds of birds and four-legged types are frolicking around and doing such interesting things that I never would have noticed if I hadn’t taken the time to just be still around them. We have a suction cup bird feeder that we mounted on the sliding patio glass doors (which we never use). It is a couple feet away from our canary, Chip’s cage and they keep him entertained all day. It’s so funny when we see the Mourning Dove’s sitting on top and peering inside, wondering what Chip’s doing in there. 😂

YAY for Chip to have company that's awesome. I just saw some cool bird feeders that are curved and fit into the widows like room A/C units (much smaller of course) but the birds essentially feed on your inside window sill. They look like they'd be cool. I'm so surprised how much I'm enjoying this particular journal. Something completely new to me. And I've learned SO much. I'm sure it's doing my psyche good as well.

Yes I do spend time outdoors and do deep breathing exercises…but not every time. This is a good reminder! Love your pictures especially of Bitsy! I downloaded the Cavana app. My copy paper pictures were very dark so I put in a sheet of photo paper and immediately jammed the printer! I’m stuck because I can’t get it jammed. I have to wait for someone to help. But I can’t have anybody in the house right now because I have come down with Covid…. Just the ordinary Covid but still I have to stay isolated. Congrats to Catherine! Hope she sees it and gets in touch! Yes, I do need to remind myself to stay focused on what I see and record it! I haven’t done that at all. so this was a great video for me to watch. Marian’s world sounds very interesting. I love the sky chart!!! I can’t wait to go over and see what else she does! And thanks for the recommendation! Merlin bird ID sounds great too. It does seem like I just only have a few birds in my yard. One cardinal, the occasional hummingbird, robins, wrens, starlings, of course, and some yellow birds. I have a birdbath in the front yard where I sit and mostly the little wrens use it, but just to drink from. But I fill it every day when I water my plants. Anyway, it was so fun to watch your video. I may go back in a second time just so I can make sure I didn’t miss anything!

It's amazing what goes on in our own backyards. This morning was a flurry of activity, it was so nice to just sit and watch everyone's antics. SO glad you enjoyed the video. I would not have expected SO many different birds in my yard until I really started using that app and listening closely, loads of diversity going on, lol. You can brighten your pics while they're still on your phone (I'm assuming you have an iPhone bc of son's Apple affinity?) Go into pictures (NOT the camera app, the photo albums) select the pic you want to lighten/brighten, open it, hit "edit", then tweak the exposure and/or the brightness levels. Once you get your printer unjammed, that is. So frustrating. Marion is a lot like Janet in many ways, very very talented, soft-spoken and does a wide range of really cool stuff. What that lady can do with some scrap fabric, an old leather glove and her "tangle" of threads is nothing short of awe-inspiring (she made a life-size, in-flight, life-like raven 😳🫢😱 Gorgeous.)

Oh, AND I don't do the deep breathing EVERY time either, but I try. I figure if I'm doing it 80-90% of the time, it's better than not doin it. Like everything. Eat well 80-90% of the time...keep the house clean 80-90% of the time...right? No one is perfect 😉 But many of us are EXCELLENT 🤓

@@TheCrabbyCrafterlol lol, you can be nosy! It’s not my legal name. It’s a name I started using 15 or more years ago when playing online games. All my character names are Gwen plus something. Ex Gwendolyn mage in World of Warcraft. lol. I have so many friends in that community that only know me as Gwen. Also, Being a retired teacher, when I started you tube, I thought using Gwen would help keep me a little more private from 4th graders. lol. At this point I will answer to Gwen if you yell “hello Gwen “ in a store. I guess I gave you the long answer! Any reason you ask?

Thanx for the reply. Just 'cuz I'm super nosy. Makes perfect sense. Especially when gaming there are SO many diverse people from everywhere, ya' can't be too careful. And I think it helps to become that persona, go into character, play the part of whichever one you're using. I have a couple of pen names for my writing, same reasoning. Nosy bc so many people have different names than their own in their YT names: something like "Grace's Craft Corner" is named Ashley; Camelia Craft Designs is Julia, a "CJane" I watch is named Rose; Faith's Art is named Holly...just curious about others.
