I would love to see Shay talk more about her struggles opening up in your relationship. It seems like you often talk about you and I think listening to her more attentively can be beneficial as well. When she talked about you bringing her food but not the way she usually likes it or something, you seemed kind of dismissive or unreceptive to what she was expressing. I understand what she was saying. It’s not good to only focus on positive. The world is a mix of positive and negative, you have to figure out a balance because if we focus only on positive then the negatives or downsides get ignored, which only create more unresolved issues or even resentment.

Trauma does not have to begin with capital 't'. So true, it is often the (seemingly) little things that stay with you and hinder your growth.

Good info....I was married but so broken and traumatized by my childhood, I divorced and have lived such a broken life raising a son who unfortunately is traumatized, wishing I could have disconnected from my trauma much earlier but now I see it takes a lot of work.....You two are inspiration....I love how he says "I love you more everyday" ...sorry do not remember the exact words but close enough😂

Yeahhhh we could listen to you two talk about literally anything. This was such an important topic, and your genuine, raw moments were beautiful and helpful💖 Wanted to put my two cents in for the New York comment - born and raised in NYC & the only way you can enjoy that damn city is if you're living in the middle of the hype (where everything's a quick walk) & are a millionaire. We bond over our struggles & the hustle over there😩
