Stiffen up the chassis and handling. Whiteline 24mm rear sway bar and metal end links, CTS Turbo subframe bushing inserts, and a front upper strut mount brace. You don’t need a front sway bar on these cars. These cars respond incredibly well to these simple mods. I’ve got this exact setup on my MK7 R and the handling difference is night and day. If you want to take it one step further, do the 034 Motorsports metal dogbone insert and upgraded mount, and BFI stage 1 motor and transmission mounts. With all that combined this thing would be a handling weapon.
Probably mounts. I suggest the BFI Stage 2 green mounts. Not super expensive and give you way better feedback and driver engagement as well as better traction. After that maybe the poly lower control arms and an aluminum undertray.
Looks nice but isn't the whole point of the brake fluid and coolant reservoirs to see the fluid level? If you ever had something go wrong with those fluids you'd have no idea...
from South Africa and I gotta say you are probably the most informative youtube channel that has anything too do with the mk7 in general, keep it up bro! wish we had Unitronic down here we got CPI and Revo .
@karen collins it must be an old saying for sure because last time I checked most you tubers with some sort of following don’t pay for parts that are used to create content with.
You can buy the non cf one for like $250 or the beetle one for like $150. 06K-103-925-CM. All of them cover up that ugly ass intake manifold and all use the extra studs for mounting
@@Randallpullen123 got em .. way to stick up for your bro! 👍 It's just jealousy obviously you guys have something with ECS shit when I see it I hate but when you work hard you can play hard and people notice.
After seeing the gti build im definitely going to buy one but, im going to get the mk4 gti because when they are built right they sound sooo damn good and when they have 2 step they sound insane.
Time for the GTX turbo and put some real power down. Stock block can take 400+ all day!! Just get a good tuner and keep the tq numbers below 380ish or the rods will snap.
what's the best way to put the intake on with the air duct? I've had a lot of trouble getting them to go in comfortably without feeling like im going to break one or the other...
Swapping something out that wasn't carbon (like the intake, battery cover) is cool. Sticking a piece of carbon on top of something that will still remain underneath looks tacky in my opinion.
What's the HP vs $$ spent gains for all of those carbon decorations?? If it's not directly enhancing my MK7 GTI performance over stock than I'm not spending money on it. All of those goodies probably were close to $1K and $1K in performance go fast parts can definitely make my GTI drive better. But it looks good, right? Peace!
Coolant and brake reservoir covers are so stupid IMHO, cause they don't allow you to check the level and the colour of the fluids. Fancy useless mods for those who don't know how to spend their money...
