Your absolute best friend when doing these major projects that involve powder coating, chrome or paint, is, tap and die set. It takes a second to strip or break a bolt when the treads are all galled up. Always chase the bolt holes. The money you’re spending to have bolts extracted and new threads put in, is not worth it. Buy a quality tap and die set not that Harbor Freight junk. Time is money and you are carting bikes to others to fix broken bolts. It’s all good Dre. We all learn. Knowledge is only part of the game. Tools, tools and specialized tools make the job.
I have an 08 street glide. Is it possible to convert it to a RG but instead of using the 98-13 inner/outer fairing can I install a 15 and up neck to install the 15 and up RG fairing?
