Love it girl, would've loved to see something more with the hanging clothes, but I'm sure the room will continue to evolve, wish u could help me with my house, I have 2 yr old never think about spending $ on house and it desperately needs it lol but love you guys and your videos !!!! :) Sending love from RI, USA !!
The mirror looked so much better on that wall, made the room so much bigger. And I loved that you went with a bold color behind it, it doesn't get too overpowering when the mirror are in front
I love the redesign!! Weirdly enough, painting the drawers that lighter color makes your hung clothes look way less cluttered. Great colors and pieces all around!
I feel like the closet section would look great with a trim. Maybe a big scalloped valance! Hide the hangers, show off the clothes, and add some polish.
I wish I could see into Becky's brain- her videos are ALWAYS like a Bob Ross painting. At first I am afraid, and at the end I am in disbelief of how awesome the final outcome is. This makeover is unreal and I want my entire house to look like it
@@mehxxx it's a whole meme where Boss Ross would add stuff to his paintings and Twitch chat would start spamming "RUINED". But then of course it turns out awesome anyways.
I wasn’t sold on that chair/ottoman combo but with the whole space it looks great! Nice work as usual, Becky! Also- that painting montage was edited really well. Nice work, editing team!
Quick shoe storage hack! Saw you have a couple tall boots that flop over- I use a cut pool noodle in all my riding boots so they stand tall and store easily/cleanly. Also helps them keep thier form! :)
Becky! This is phenomenal!!! The Cadovius wall unit is my ultimate wishlist item for vintage furniture and I’ve been researching diy’ing one for over a year and have found lots of tutorials but they are either full on woodworking builds or they use metal track uprights and this is so genius! Thank you for being a genius!! Also you always find such amazing items on thredup! Every time I check out the site I can’t find anything. Love that bodysuit!!
There’s something so incredibly therapeutic and HEALING about watching Becky work her magic in DIY Diaries. Who doesn’t love watching a space evolve? Bravo, Queen.
Those drawers are a sign of your creative GENIUS! I love this aesthic & the accent wall is so beautiful! My house has slanted walls like yours, and I love that faux modular unit! Great job 🍸🧡🤎
Absolutely in love with the warm orange tones with the olive chair and ottoman, and the white drawers with the rug really lighten the space. The accent wall is such a beautiful grounding contrast color and the little touch of the orange light bracket through the glass of the sconce is SO warm and cozy
This might be my favourite TSG makeover ever. Ever! Loveeee it. I’ve never been a diehard 70s design fan but this was just executed so perfectly that I adore the outcome. Dream closet. What a great little retreat to get ready in. Love!
Absolutely am in love with it. And now I'm confident enough to take my time and make my house a home, by thrifting and diy projects. I was so caught up in feeling like I had to save and buy new, but seeing how it can all come together, I'm so excited!
BECKYYYYY this might be my most favorite makeover you’ve ever done it looks SO GOOD the chair and sconces are amazing. i didn’t like the rug for the whole video but at the end it ties in perfectly
This is my favorite remodel that you've done yet! The drawer was mind blowing 🤯 and that chair! Omg. Everything really came together nicely. 50's-70's are my absolute favorite style. Obsessed with Mid Century
Frankenstein dressers turned out AMAZING, I was a bit unsure in the beginning description but, you NAILED it! Also like you are embracing more color intensity.
I LOVE THIS STYLE!! You did an amazing job! Fits the changes in the rest of your house a lot better compared to the boho before look. Definitely mentally bookmarking this for the day I have my own house!
Wow! the shelves turned out amazing! i've always wanted them but as you say the price, but you did such a great job on the DIY, and the drawers are sooo good, only thing id change/ touch up in the room is to move the card holders closer together and perhaps put an off white or cream paper inside to make the line in the drawers look smaller, but over all 10/10 you have the best ideas for sure!
Great transformation Becky! You are very talented! I especially love the wall sconces and the color you chose to put on the wall and the diy shoe rack! Gentle, friendly suggestion for the clothes drawers: use boards that span the entire length. You will be opening 2 drawers at the same time, but, I think by doing it that way you will more closely achieve the look you are going for.
I absolutely loved the orange on the lamp. Because of the glass in front you can't see just a random block of orange so it actually looks cool. Also the shelves???? Hello??? So good! Anyways everything looks awesome and as a design student I gotta love that Bauhaus poster.
Becky’s creativity and bubbly personality made me genuinely smile after a stressful and kinda demoralizing day. the aesthetic is so fun, and the “modular” shelf is brilliant.
This room makeover perfectly encompasses a warm, down to earth vibe. I love how our spaces can be such a direct reflection of our personalities and say a lot about a person without the need for words. What a stunning design for a simple room. I love the way you pulled all these elements together so beautifully Becky!😊
this turned out SO. AMAZING. the room looks bigger, toootally tells who you are, and again, looks seriously amazing a 70s dream room and ideal napping spot
This is the best makeover so far, love the vibes in here. Slightly sad to see the dresser change, I love the warmth from wood but overall still 10/10 babe!
Orange is my favorite colour especially in your home! I love the look. Glad you painted the acrylic set of lights. 💕💕👏👏 I probably would have used a long piece of wood for the front of the drawers, it would mean opening both dressers drawer but it would have looked great. It still looks amazing. As a former architecture student and draftsman I always loved the old tables, stools and drawer units.
This is probably my favorite room! Not going to lie when that chair got added I was nervous but it all pulled together and it’s absolutely perfection 70’s, laurel canyon, mid century vibes ✨
My closet is also an entire room across the hall! I have 20 pairs of boots and we used the itty bitty closets in our room to make the bathroom bigger. I love it!
I LOVE THIS! I love that you’re going more midcentury/70s with your home. I want more! I love that you used pops of orange. On a side note: if possible, can you please do a DIY of a percival lafer style chair. They’re so expensive! 😭
Literally amazing! I absolutely love mid century modern 70s earth tones. All I would add is some beautiful greenery..some ivy growing would be nice and go with the timed theme
I love the way this room turned out! I love the bold choices (the wall color! the sconces! those shelves!!) and then execution is *chefs kiss*👌🏻 Way to go Becky!
yes!!! looks so good!! I love that you are moving away from boho to 70s and vintage pieces. I wish the rug was different, maybe the pattern or colour. But I love the rest!
I would never use this style in my house, but I think it's a really good fit for the space and totally your style. There's not a single thing I would have done differently!
Great job Becky, I am loving the vibe you got going in this space. I always love makeover videos they give me so much inspiration to get busy in my own space. Take care, looking forward to your next video, sending love and hugs. bye for now.
Every time Becky describes an idea for a diy I’m thinking “this sounds like a bad idea. This is not going to work. It’s going to look SO bad” and then fast forward to Becky somehow miraculously pulling it off! Making it work! Proving me wrong! She is a diy queen!
You did an incredible job, Becky. The vibes in that room are immaculate. That whole corner with the low shelf and the leaning poster and all of the books...STUNNING. And that orange wall color is perfect.
I love love love how this room turned out😍 The style is amazing! Well done Becky! Can you please share what stain you used for the shelves? it’s not mentioned in the blog post.
becky you absolutely killed this makeover wow this is seriously one of the most beautiful rooms ive seen! and the drawer hack... so good. i love those filing cabinet things too and i never even considered that you could hack them. genius!! also the low shelf is killer
those "modular" shelves, they aren't secured on the bottom of the bracket though? looks like it can easily come out if you grab something off the shelf, it'll pop right out of the bracket holder thingy, specifically the short ones
It might be an insignificant detail but I love the very low shelve right next to the chair and mirror! It's genius! I would never have thought about doing that
I LOVE IT. Becky you’re style from home decor to clothing is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! This room has came so far and I’ve loved the journey but this is by far my fav. Ugh my dream house.
I love the addition of some color and interest. And I have to know, do the drawers open ok even with just the one off-center handle? You are so creative figuring out how to DIY that look!!!!!!
One of your best makeovers this far i think! I love the ambiance & the thrifted pieces, they are absolutely dreamy. Your style & vision are incredible! Well done Becky!
Everything looks just fabulous! I love the warm orange wall and the sconces! And with the drawer hack, making them look like a flat file, it really elongates that space visually. The old closet looked cramped in comparison.
Happy that you all are showing ALL the steps of staining (conditioning/sealing, stain , poly, sand, poly …etc) so many people skip steps and it eventually shows ! Also -dont you LOVE those painters pyramids ?! I use them all the time for projects like that !
The chair and ottoman were my least favourite, though I admit they are different and a conversation starter for sure! I loved the decoration and the wall's colour, also those brackets!! This was a great idea! Generally this room was a 110% Becky!
YEEEEESSSS!!!!!! I love it.... Perfect 70s chill I love the bold colour wall and love how adding the huge mirror in front toned it down but allowed drama at the same time..... genius move 🥳
Yes you should do it, you'll never go back😊I have always had a bedroom as a walking closet. I only have 2 rooms in my current house but it is a my happy place. I have clothes racks running the full length of 2 walls and a 9 drawer dressing table with a huge mirror against the the wall. I have various jewellery display stands on it so I can see everything. I have a diy footstool with storage on the 4th wall under the window and on 1 side of the windows a hand held steamer with hanger and on the right side a full length mirror. A nice round rug in the centre of the room and I have an over the door shoe rack for sneakers and shoe shelves under my clothes racks for dress shoes, I use empty wine bottles to keep my long boots upright. I've had this set up in my last 3 homes and would never go back, you can see everything at a glance. I may not have a lot of money but having a dressing room is my luxury item and I love it.
Becky, you have really taught me to trust the process. You know what you are going for and while it may be hard for me to see it before it's done, you bring it all together beautifully!
I loooove this makeover! You always out do yourself Becky, what a nice vision and execution! Don’t know what I love the most: the lovely vibrant orange wall colour, the amazing chair and ottoman combo or the incredible shelving system! You rock!
Just wanted to comment and add a little love. I love both Kelsey and Becky, but there’s something that really resonates with me whenever I watch Becky do her thing ✨
In love with this style!!! Also makes me laugh a little because my Dad is a structural engineer, so I remember playing with the blue print drawers when I would visit his office as a toddler. ❤️
I love this channel so much. Becky gives off such good vibes :) watching these videos is one of the only comforting and happy things in my life at the moment. Thank you for the content Sorry Girls! You inspire me a whole lot!
