This is indeed a track for a raid. It is the Last Boss of the "Deepstone crypt raid "Taniks, the Abomination"

What I like is the final boss of DSC is Taniks, someone who’s been reborn multiple times and we killed him finally in this raid

You really nailed it with your analysis of the cues in the track pertaining to different scenarios. All these sections are various parts of a final boss battle at the end of a raid, so there are parts with tension, parts with urgency, and parts dialing up the courage/heroism element. And this heroic theme is at key moments in the campaign missions as well (especially a certain "look within" moment at the end).

The way the music swells and changes gives the kind of feeling where the guardians danger is mostly over but this is more of a "We can't let him get away again!" Feeling, sort of like this needs to come to a final end.

"Deep Stone Crypt" Raid: Final Encounter "Taniks, the Abomination" 0:10 Beginning 0:30 Mechanics Phase part 2 2:04 DPS Phase 2:26 Mechanics Phase part 2 4:09Final Stand 5:03 End

I love this track, in the raid that this raid takes place in we essentially already win after the first boss fight, the final boss for the raid is the contingency plan and tries to destroy the entire moon by crashing a space station armed to the brim with nuclear weapons. When you deactivate the bombs and the station crashes the fight should be over, but the final boss Taniks just refuses to die no matter how many times he's killed and he gets back up to fight you again. Most raid boss tracks in the game have an almost hopeless energy to them until you figure out a way to fight back like Riven or Rhulk, but Taniks is someone you've already killed several times before so this track has a blaring heroic theme to celebrate you (hopefully) putting him in the ground for good.

"Deep Stone Lullaby", Prepare your feelings.

This is my favorite raid in the game. I ran it day 1 when it came out and eventually flawlessed it. I still use the Sparrow and Ghost shell to this day, and Look Within is one of my favorite tracks in the game. This theme plays against the final boss of the Deep Stone Crypt raid, and is the final story beat to the Beyond Light campaign. The Fallen House of Salvation has infiltrated the aforementioned Deep Stone Crypt, and if they succeed in acquiring its technology and secrets, the results could be disastrous. The final boss of this raid, a Fallen mercenary named Taniks, is a recurring enemy we've fought several times before. He has a penchant for refusing to give up, refusing to die, and this may be his most powerful incarnation yet, fusing with a nuclear powered Shank with enough firepower to level the City. This is not a battle against a grand, overwhelming evil (though Taniks is quite powerful here). We've already taken care of the Crypt and stopped House Salvation from succeeding in their goals. At this point, Taniks is all that's left, once again refusing to go down. This is a fight to finally settle the score, and that's why the theme is so triumphant. We've had this song and dance before. Taniks cannot win against us. Look within. Focus your power and defeat him.

Each raid has about 4-5 tracks probably not even including just general ambience that plays when u r exploring in them/readying up aka teamamte went afk and ur waiting to begin the encounter. Each encounter of the raid typically has its own track. U were listening to the last boss fight of one of the raids. For this raid there is Desolation -> Anathasia -> Security breach (modified version of anathasia I think thats more intense but still a seperate track) -> Replicate -> Deep Stone Lullaby -> Shadow Thief Reborn -> Courage. The game version u can get from Destiny Music Archive when they get around to reuploading all the different varients again which has the music correctly space out to the fights like the music is reacting to every scene and mechanic playing out in front of u unlike the OST varients. Promethean Archival Mind (the same person who u used in ur "The First Disciple" soundtrack reaction) also has some tracks on their channel too but basically their whole channel got purged by a copyright fraud pretending to be Bungie hence why Destiny Music Archive is currently in the process of reuploading everything, they too were hit by the same fraudulent copyright claims.

one of the best raid osts ever, this ost makes up for the astounding atmosphere of europa and its deep stone crypt!!

I highly recommend you listen to Replicate as well, it's one of my favorite tracks from the game. Honestly, the entirety of the Deep Stone Crypt raid's OST is SO good. Security Breach and Deep Stone Lullaby are really amazing.

you really have to do deepstone lullaby, its from the same raid but its almost an interlude when you are running on the exterior of a space station, its truly beautiful, its so well known to be good that the running joke is raid teams turn off coms for that part so you can just listen

Ngl not one of my favourites compared to the other beyond light tracks. Theres "lament" and "acceptance", theres also "desolation" and "anesthesia". Deep stone lullaby is most peoples favourite. Shadow thief reborn is awesome thou! From that album anyway.

Best song in the whole game. Fight me. And yeah, it mixes leitmotifs from various parts, making it something else.

I would love for there to be video for "Insurrection" from the Witch Queen soundtrack. By far the best and my favorite track in that score.

When you spoke about it playing within certain parts of the game your right this part of it only plays during the last phase of the final boss of the deep stone crypt raid. And certain parts of it only play when certain things are happening in game. The heroic part is also very true since this part only plays at the final phase it’s meant to be heroic and triumphant. It’s essentially showing it’s either you kill him now or he will kill you

Beyond Light expansion has amazing sound tracks. Love the reaction. More please! Can you please do Athanasia + Security Breach it's also from the D2 Beyond Light expasion ost.

I'd like to see more reviews of the Witch Queen soundtrack; out of all of the Destiny expansion soundtracks since Forsaken, the Witch Queen has, in my opinion, the highest count of really good tracks. My suggestions are: - Revive and Reload - Queen's Deception - Lucent World
