COMPOSER reacts 😲 to DESTINY: RISE OF IRON OST Eyes Up 

Destiny has some of the best music in games I've ever heared. It does match perfectly with the gameplay. Would sugest "Riven of Thousand Voices", "Shell of What Was", "Embers" and "Ad Victoriam". They are soooooo good.

You were spot on when you mentioned that the track is very ‘nuclear’, explaining that it only fits one theme per se and isn’t a track that represents the whole franchise. Destiny has an extreme variety when it comes to soundtrack. If you want a synthesised track listen to ‘Temptation’ or ‘Ghalran’s Deception’, if you want an orchestral theme then ‘Eyes up’ would be the one. I would recommend ‘Temptation’, ‘Shell of what was’, ‘Riven of a thousand voices’, and ‘Dust Giants’ if you want to explore this games ost. Heck if you like ‘Dust Giants’ then try the Redux version as well.

Yesterday was the 5 year anniversary of this song's debut with the Wrath of the Machine raid back on September 23rd, 2016. Really glad you covered it! Nice catch when you said the song was 'evolving', this is the raid boss theme for Aksis, Archon Prime the final raid boss in Wrath of the Machine raid and this track progresses along with all the changes in the fight. Destiny raid bosses are equally combat encounters as well as puzzles so this track moves through phases where you're powerless against the boss as he teleports around the arena (5:15) but you slowly regain control of the fight and the song at the same time as the tools you need to defeat him become available to you. The leitmotif for the player plays along with the main melody for the expansion too! The part at 3:39 also serves as a sort of reset for the fight once you've gone through all the phases and done what damage you could as the boss launches an attack that will wipe out your team unless you stand in the specific safe zone, the music gives that feeling of an impending doom as red waves start lashing out around you and your screen becomes infected with the symbol of the Nanovirus SIVA that the boss is using against you. This sort of progression is used in a lot of Destiny's tracks and to significant effect, for instance in the Dreaming City area the City will become cursed and corrupted more and more each week in a 3 week period and the music itself will also become corrupted and lose it's heroism with the orchestral parts being replaced with dreadful synthetic tones depending on the stage of the corruption.

This soundtrack alone makes me want to play Destiny 1 again.

Is it just me who needs Atlus to react to Orix The Taken Kings theme (regicide)!

Look Within from Destiny 2 is really good as well. It's the music for the final boss of the Deep Stone Crypt raid, so it gives off very heroic vibes.

It's interesting that you say it feels militaristic, because Rise of Iron actually is an expansion about something the iron lords (basically warlords, used to be tyrants) thought they had sealed away from the world, but it comes back

"Queen's Oracle" is probably my favorite Destiny track

this song was amazing! it plays while your fighting the raid boss you really felt like a hero as u fight this raid boss with your friends

Now imagine this while you’re battling a giant robot spider with 5 of your best friends 😅 The way this theme evolves throughout the battle is amazing. Destiny has some of the best music in all of video games. Riven’s Theme (I forget it’s actual name) is a personal favourite.

I just came to your channel to recommend Destiny 2: Deep Stone Lullaby and saw you already did a Destiny one. Be awesome to see your reaction to Deep Stone Lullaby!! Also ‘Iron Tomb’ is a great track, and ‘Shadow Thief’ is probably one of the best tracks in a strike.

Finally some destiny OSTs, to me they're probably the best OSTs in any game I've played. Especially destiny 1, had some incredibly atmospheric soundtracks

Destiny is personally my #1 game when it comes to music. The music team is fucking insane.

I recommend listening to ‘Deep Stone Lullaby’ from Destiny 2 Beyond Light. It has some more of that ‘synthetic’ more sci-fi feel, while also being orchestral as well.

Congrats on 50k! Love the review. Id suggest trying out some more tracks from Destiny, they can be great. The Tangled Shore, Tree of Probabilities and Deep Stone Lullaby are my favorites.

I am someone that got introduced to the destiny universe with the second game so a lot of the tracks from the first are new to me, this was one I hadn't heard before and I enjoyed listening to it along with you for the first time! Your breakdowns are top notch as always too, I hope I can hear you breakdown more destiny soundtracks in the future (which is a perfect segway into me requesting Regicide by Michael Salvatori from Destiny 1 once again 😂)

The fact you haven't reacted to Destiny 2: Deep Stone Lullaby yet blows my mind!

Destiny franchise has incredible music... if you do any other Destiny music reaction/analysis 'Deep Stone Lullaby' would probably be the one most everyone would want... when I first heard the music in the menu it absolutely made me pause and just listen to it - has a feel to it that just is really special. Hit's you right in the feels and absolutely powerful at same time. Not a complicated song at all, but it absolutely resonates with emotions unlike any other song in Destiny franchise. And I've never actually done the DSC raid it's featured in, but really want to just to experience that song being played.

I love this one! I hope we see more destiny stuff, seriously one thing to take away from the endgame activities experience is the music! Some of the fantasy songs from destiny 1 like tranquility, the traveller. and the very dark intense music like regicide and last stand (I love this one) from Destiny the taken king is some of the best stuff.

Deep Stone Crypt AND Queen's Oracle would be two more destiny songs that I would love to see react to!!!

Since you have started with Destiny OSTs, you may as well do some more. My personal reccomendations are "The Fanatic" and "Riven of A Thousand Voices"

To put some context to this: The boss this theme plays for is the final boss of the Wrath of the Machine raid, and is effectively the final boss of Destiny 1. Aksis, Archon Prime; a terrifyingly powerful abomination, once flesh and nerve, now fully consumed by machine and technology. The technology corrupting Aksis was designed to create basically anything, and so he is an enormous threat and likely one of the most powerful beings we have ever faced. The name of this theme, "Eyes Up", references a phrase commonly attributed to Guardians, the playable characters of Destiny. Aksis is also an Archon, and one of the first bosses you fight in Destiny 1 is also an Archon, so this theme and the raid boss come full circle beautifully. I love Destiny, it's one of my favorite games. As others have said, I'd love to see "Riven of a Thousand Voices", "Shell of What Was", "Temptation", and one of my personal favorites, "Look Within". They're all amazing. I'd also HIGHLY recommend "The Man They Called Cayde"

To get a taste of almost hybrid like Destiny soundtracks you should listen to The Vex from Destiny 1 or some of the tracks related to the race called the hive

Day 23 of requesting House of Sacred Remains from Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. Beautifully atmospheric track and one of my fave's from video games in general. It'd be awesome to hear what you think of it. It's the theme of a level set starting from a cathedral and ending in the crypts through lots of library areas, it's not a particularly significant or infamous level at all but I think the track really reflects the hallowed grounds housing sacred relics beautifully. The 4 minute upload from the Castlevania Sound Team is the one to listen to.

Day 13 of asking for you to react to Requiem of silence from Re:zero starting life in another world. Composed by Kenichiro Suehiro, I don’t know if you’ve reacted to one of his songs before but honestly this OST is a masterpiece. To give some context on the series as a whole, the mc has been given a return by death ability in a new world he’s been transported to. He is forced into situations beyond his limits and has to watch his friends he’s made along the way on his journey die in horrible ways. It’s honestly quite similar to Berserk where the mc Subaru is struggling against the odds stacked against him and has to make his way out without giving up
