Our house is a bungalow with continuous lines going to each faucet so no tees. I understand that the PB lines can split open. We are original owners, house built in 1995 in Gr Prairie. I never heard much over the years. Tips we were told were to keep the hot temperature lower and we have never had a problem. We had contractors develop our basement in 2008 and nothing was ever said back then that we should replace the PB water lines. Have you seen issues with houses with individual PB lines to each faucet? Is it a more difficult job replacing?
Watched this whole video for ideas about redoing the Poly B in my house looking for tips and not having a clue you guys are from Calgary. Well guess if I get stuck I know who to call!
Great Job you guys! I currently have Poly B looking for a switch. I started to leak in the walls. What ballpark cost would I be looking at for an over haul? I have a little bit bigger home than this one.
Are you from Calgary? You can give me a shout and we could chat. 403-608-9557. House like this ranges around $7K to pull out all the poly b and replace it. We include the flooring protection and full clean up and keep all the drywall pieces to make it easier for patching.
