Continuing our Savage Wilds playthrough, we are heading out to get ourselves a horse, but have to trek through the Highlands to get there, encountering some interesting locations on the way, and some areas we are really not ready for!!!

Why i love savage wilds....you don't need to spend time crafting ...you can just explore and pick up weapons and armor from mob drops. Makes a Nomad happy! A tip: around the raided village... click on pieces of wood scraps on the ground for secrets.

Looks like Savage Wilds reverts the aggro range reduction that went into effect when AoW came out.

Ah well, I see you found the Murrun Outskirts. It's nice to know you can get back there from the middle of nowhere for nothing which means I was right, it does become important later on in the game. Superb video! SW in definitely my favourite (except for the poison gas booby traps 😂)

Angaar I'm not sure your stance on mods But there is this really helpful mod I found on the steam workshop called Unlock Plus. It allows you to pull crafting mats from chests to your crafting benches so you don't have to run back and forth all the time. Great videos keep up the awesome work.

I tend to keep the mods to a minimum for the console viewers, but do use a similar one on Ark

Tks for the horse..... also, the camp next to your base, skull ridge or something.... if you wait it out and get a fighter 3, they are pretty good, for a starter anyway

Makes sense that the Foals would be in Hyrakanian Area, they were the Mongol Analog in the books, lived between Turan and Khitai. Whoever made this map really understands the lore

It's funny I'm watching this series slowly while at work and a little bit at home but we keep crossing paths at close intervals, I went this way yesterday looking for brimstone, you went south and found it. Today I went south and found the brimstone and today you're going north and found the obsidian. As far as mounts go I'm going to buy a camel from Merun once I acquire the funds. Never had a camel heard they actually suck but I feel like it will provide progression towards the horse later

Camels are ok. Same speed and HP as horses but without the ability to jump over rocks/terrain. Do have much more carry capacity though!

Experienced one of my earlier deaths in the Grove. Right after my follower and my horse were pinned against the vines and taken out. Good to see you have few more levels than I did and were able to take them out.

The Grove was my first death, found it at night and got ganked against something and swarmed, next visit was not so good for them. I see you knew when to retreat, you will find the north peoples tough as nails and in large numbers at times, more steel and epic armor time. Foxes are like fighting cobras you have to look down and swing, vicious little things. Lol

there are several other location where you can find foals on SW.. the interactive map doesn't showed all the locations..😅 around D-10 would have some.. and another one at the southern atoll island near F-2.. so you found the obsidian mine..and you can pickup gold nuggets in the mine as well... and that little island.. and remember what i told you about the relic hunter treasure seeker upgrade? 😅 side note.. those burning skeleton can be found on siptah.. If i remember correctly.. you can find that burning skeleton at one location on siptah.. and you missed to interact with the cover of the well at 28:21.. clicking it will uncover the cover and there should be some fragment of power or khari steel chests inside.. and i believe you missed the midnight grove knowledge recipe

Any advanced tips you want to share on potential base spots? Found a lot of picturesque locations in the highlands but resources seem to be a challenge

To be honest, I have not even started to look for another base spot yet. Not investigated enough of the map and I do really like I can always travel back to Murun for free with the caravan system

So you found the Camp i talked about,. ;-).. the ones i tamed there are better than any other i tamed on this map, and i did go all the Way up north…

@@AngaarUK The "Grove" i found a few good ones there. Fighters and a Bearer and there have been good blacksmith's too. i made a wheel close to the camp ;-)

where do you think you want to build a more permanant settlement? or will you turn the oasis into your stronghold? and are you going to use aquolonian armor and weapons considering the armor you have is kinda in the samme style?

Not seen enough of the map to pick a base location yet, but I do like the free caravans home to Murun 🤘😎🤘

Hey, just hit 60 and got all the epic armors and weapons selected that I normally use. However, I think I might have missed something? In the past, I was able to repair weapons and armor that I had found, not made myself. IE, once I hit 60, the Cimmerian Epic armor pieces I had found, I was able to repair those, weapons as well. Am I wrong in that? I sure can not repair anything now, for instance, I had found some Cimmerian armor and hardened steel short sword but even though I could build them from scratch, I can not repair the ones I had previously found? Did something change or am I just getting old and not recalling correctly...tks

There is a bug right now where you can't repair certain items, such as Redeemed Silent Legion

I hate that the wolf sound effects got reused over and over. Foxes are very high pitch from every thing I've seen and the lynx on Siptah not only being way to big, but having a canine sound effect is stupid.
